You know that sentiment about how good things are worth the wait? Well, that’s exactly how I felt about our Sydney Blogcademy class. We’d been wanting to take the workshop to Sydney since the very beginning but the scheduling never quite panned out. This time around, we were pumped to finally have the opportunity.

We kicked off class at the beautiful Studio Neon in Surrey Hills after a delicious breakfast each morning at Orto Trading Co. (Australia, you truly have some of the best cafes).

Because we’d never taught in Sydney before, we had no idea what to expect but the class was off the hook from the moment we said our hellos. As usual, our group was quite eclectic and as you know, variety is the spice of life! In attendance, we had two men (a record?!), five energy healers, a handful of pregnant women, professional athletes….you name it. And of course, the more varied the mix of folks, the better the stories!

With bright colors swirling around coupled with smiles radiating from every corner, our Sydney group turned on the charm big time.

Note-taking in our class is no joke — when we recently boiled down our two day workshop into a transcript for Blogcademy Online, it clocked in at 60,000 words. That’s a whole lot of info jammed into 18 sections!

The majority of women who join us in class already have thriving outside businesses and careers but are ready to transition into running their own businesses. There’s a point most of us reach where the money and recognition isn’t enough — personal satisfaction takes precedent. In 2001, I began blogging to fill the creative void I felt from spending my days inside a mauve-walled office. I answered phones and stuffed envelopes and finished each day feeling drained.
