Last year, one of my classes combined all four departments of our Integrated Media department and we spent the semester developing a new ad campaign for the college. My team chose the name of e|merge for our creative agency and I designed a press kit for our presentation. I was happy with the work, but everything blended into the white background: 

 

Besides some small changes on the CD, the only difference between the Before and After is a rough paper texture applied to each piece at 30% opacity (it’s much more noticeable in person) and the worn cardboard box in the background: 


 

I’m so glad I took an extra hour to add some textures! If you haven’t noticed by now, I love the process of branding and developing press kits…and I can’t stop. There are worse addictions to have, right?
