On Monday night, Nemo Design held its annual holiday party at Holocene in Portland.

When I walked in, people were spinning a large wheel so hard it nearly fell over. Fellow Nemo-er Rodger Bridges demonstrated how it was done. I gave it a swift spin and before it stopped, someone walked over, told me he’d already won twice and shoved a five dollar bill in my purse!

Cue rap tunes, a catered dinner, and the best creative personalities in Portland and you’ve got a winning party. There was an old fashioned photo booth next to the bar, so I took a few turns…

The night ended with fresh cookies and desserts. I couldn’t be happier to be included in such a fun, inviting atmosphere where I constantly learn new tricks and techniques. I get to look forward to working on a few different projects every week and ask questions and color / play with type / attend meetings. What more could a nub ask for? It’s definitely something to look forward to every week. Thank you, Nemo Design for showing me how to have fun and get work done at the same time!
