IKEA Magazine Files: A Lesson in Affordable Sustainability

There’s nothing worse than a cluttered office! I’ll be the first to admit, I’m a neat-freak Virgo. While recently perusing the organization department of the new IKEA in Portland in search of magazine files, I came across a five-pack of these by FLYT for $2.99. Since I was taking public transportation to get home, their compact packaging (a thin layer of plastic wrapping) was a definite selling point, not to mention they’re easy to put together and also flatten for easy recycling. These are perfect for people on the move and their smooth surface is begging for impromptu doodles and collages!

I’m planning to buy some similar to that very soon. I’m rapidly running out of storage space!

Kara — I think these are perfect because they’re so easy to decorate (if the blinding white drives you crazy) and if you get sick of them, flatten + recycle! It seems like all the other choices out there are so bulky (and permanent).

DTK — yes, they’re super lovely. I sort of prefer keeping them pristine white, but the surface would work well with spreaypaint and collage.
