On Sunday night, Bianca made me dinner (!) and invited me out to Byte at the Delancey on the Lower East Side, which is a monthly party best described as ‘New York’s synthi-sexy monthly.’ What a mouthful! It was by far one of the best parties I’ve been to in Manhattan.

The $5.00 admission (if you dress up) is totally reasonable since the Delancey has three levels including a rooftop bar with a strangely tropical feel?!

Standing by the bar and watching people trickle in was the best part; the crowd was a mix of goths, punks, fetish folks, a little of everything (literally). I’ve been to the Delancy before when The Prids played a show in the basement; unfortunately, it was flooding during their set and people were dancing in the water and debris! Thankfully, this time was much smoother.

This guy was quite the character. I couldn’t quite tell what was goin’ on with his outfit, but that’s what made it so good! A few minutes before this picture was taken, Bianca fell down half a flight of stairs and has the nastiest bruise this side of the Mississippi to prove it. None of us seemed to notice her descent — I think the music was too loud!

Biaca’s friend Derek came out and I love him because we have the same sense of humor. A guy handed us business cards that actually mentioned naked yoga. We must’ve laughed for five minutes straight while discussing the finer details of this mysterious sport!

Derek and I always compare boots; black versus white every time.

These are my Isreali brothers. Bianca’s familia is my familia! I love these guys to death….

I left Byte at 2.a.m. for Niagara which is one of my favorite East Village bars. I was stopped dead in my tracks while walking in by my friend Marz (who is an amazing web designer) and spent the rest of the night catching up with her, Voltaire and Jayme. In the end, it was all worth the sleep dep and 5 a.m. bedtime.
