It goes without saying that my 26th birthday on Friday night was the best by far. To say the night was epic might be an understatement; the adventures and debauchery lasted until past 5 a.m.! Walking to the subway that night, the dark skyline glowed from the lights on the Empire State:

After joining Bianca and her man for pierogis in the East Village, I walked around the corner to an art show Voltaire was in. The entire event was based around the Simpsons!

As you can probably guess, he painted Satan in the mural that covered the main wall. There were 100 painted Bart Simpson sculptures. Voltaire snuck his into the background of our portrait:

After the opening, I went with V and his adorable friend Anna to get coffee and red velvet cake at Kudo Beans. The conversation quickly turned to business cards; I was trying to convince him that after 20+ years in NYC, it’s time to get a batch made! I got on a roll about cardstock, logos and the usual ‘nubby marketing speech’ which lasted until Bianca called. All business all the time, baby!

I walked back to St. Marks to meet Bianca and the hubby + friends; after a stiff vodka + cranberry, we headed over to Trash @ RiFiFi. It was packed to the gills but luckily we were on the guest list.

A pint-sized drink for a pint-sized nubbles! These drinks were 6 ounces at the most.

Also, this girl totally was totally rockin’ a Nubby sticker:

After checking out of trash, we piled into a hookah bar called Karma down the street. Oh boy! Cue bad karaoke tunes to Def Leppard and Danzig in the basement. I begged the dudes to serenade me with Journey to no avail. This guy had enough of it all and decided to lay down in the middle of the action:

My friend Eliza and I spent the night with Bianca and her man who were gracious enough to scoot over and share their mattress. By then, it was 5 a.m. and the dance party was still going strong…but all good things must come to an end. Here’s to an even bigger 27th Birthday next year in the city that never sleeps (literally)!
