Hi, I hope you had a great week!
The recurring themes of my week revolved around getting out of my comfort zone (gotta keep trying new things or else life becomes stale), exploring, reaching out to people I admire and making new friends (including a few animals — see below!) Thanks for reading!
Last year, I clicked on a link and ended up in the shop of Debbie Carlos, spotting this massive poster as I scrolled down. It was a bit odd yet beautiful in its unfiltered simplicity. Then, I promptly forgot about it until I was cleaning out my closet over the weekend. What a nice surprise! There’s something so satisfying about filling up blank walls with art you love.
My new go-to lunch spot is Marmo. It’s cozy, has great service, delicious Italian food and lots of marble surfaces if taking photos of your meal is your thing. Haha. If you’re downtown, add it to your list!
The coolest thing I did this week was go to the fair. It was so much fun walking around with my dad, visiting all the cows, llamas and alpacas along the way. We stopped by booths, ate lots of junk food and finished the night watching Steppenwolf play Born to Be Wild. So much awesomeness in one day. And, I couldn’t resist sharing the profile of this handsome fella with you. 😉
Fresh flowers on my desk, always. Though, they tend to droop quickly due to the heat!
The current book rotation at Branch featuring many of the titles recommended in this post.
Obsessing over the pristine selection of typewriters at Oblation.
Have a great weekend, friends. I hope you’re squeezing in some last-minute summer adventures! I’m signing off with this photo of two alpacas at the fair that I desperately wanted to adopt. SO CUTE! AHHH!
