I’ve been upholding my motto of “work hard and play hard” to the fullest extent. While I’m tackling some major client projects before I take off to Europe soon, I’ve been also having some fun adventures with Joey and Rocky by day and my cousin Matt by night. I love the feeling of falling into bed exhausted but happy.

Spending so much time in my office, I get restless and start rearranging things. Haha. I just set my ice cream cone bank out again — it reminds me to dump the change out of my purse on a regular basis!

Over the weekend, I tried Prasad out for the first time. Organic and vegan, their breakfast and juice menu was awesome and I can’t wait to go back.

There’s never enough photos of Rocky on the blog. Time to remedy that!

It’s summer wardrobe time which for me equals cotton tees and cut-out shoes. Both of these are from Zara, which is having a major sale right now. And that lotion? It’s one of my favorite new beauty products. I’m working on an upcoming post of my recent finds!

Have a great weekend, everyone! I’m off to pick out some plants for our new flower box Joey just built (more on that soon!) and then some client meetings — a nice, laid back end to the week.

Any fun plans you’re looking forward to?

Snapshots of your home make me desperately want to re-decorate!

My weekend plans actually involve spending a few days in Portland, any recommendations on “must go” food places?

    • Shauna says:

Nikki: Yay, I hope you have a blast in my hometown! Some places I’d recommend are Roman Candle for pizza, Salt & Straw for ice cream, Pok-Pok for street-style thai food, Miss Petunia’s for vegan baked treats, The Baghdad (best place to sit outside and people watch), Prassad for fresh organic juices, the gazillions of food carts all over town (great to try a variety of food on the cheap), The Woodsman for a nice dinner….there are SO MANY. Let me know where you end up going! xo

We got a bank too…but where as yours is a cool chic ice cream cone…we impulsed bought a giant pikachu! lol I love the bank so much! Whenever we have change, we keep saying “time to feed the Pikachu” which sounds so dirty we can’t help but laugh!!

Oh man, I love Prasad. So delicious, yet so impossibly healthy. Did you know that the same people own Harlow, on Hawthorne? The menu looks amazing, and since I found out about it last week, I’m dying to try it. (This weekend would’ve been prime time for that, but I went and stuffed myself with pizza at Apizza Scholls instead. I should probably detox with Harlow.)

Hope you had a great weekend!

Rachel: I’ve eaten at Harlow before (it’s super close to me) but only just realized it was connected with Prassad! Makes total sense now — I remember ordering a delicious juice at Harlow. And I’ve been hearing about Apizza Scholls for YEARS now but I know the lines can be gnarly so I’ve never gone. What did you think? Worth the wait?

      • Rachel says:

I’d heard about Apizza Scholls for years, too, and the wait always scared me off. Honestly, I didn’t think it lived up to the hype. It was good, but not “change-your-life” good, and I think there are other places in town with shorter lines and just as delicious pizza. They do takeout, though, so that might be a good way to give it a try without the wait for a table.
