Welcome to The Blogcademy Home School!

Nubby Twiglet | Welcome to The Blogcademy Home School!

Today, I have some very exciting news to share from The Blogcademy, not to mention a brand spanking new website!

In February of 2012, we dreamed up the idea of The Blogcademy during a handful of late nights wandering the Vegas Strip. In August of the same year, we launched our business on a non-existent budget, having no idea if it would take off. Six days later, our first-ever class sold out in New York City. 16 classes and 400 attendees later, we’re just getting warmed up!

While we LOVE teaching The Blogcademy in person, we can only physically visit so many cities. In the nearly two years we’ve been going strong, every day brings in new destination requests. From Rwanda to Greece to Hungary to The Philippines, we’ve heard you loud and clear: you want to learn about blogging, too! And as much as we love teaching and traveling, it’s only possible to visit so many locales. We also know that not everyone can afford the the time or cost associated with an in-person ticket.

Learn Wherever and Whenever You Want!

On a mission to bring blogging knowledge straight to you, we got to work on The Blogcademy Home School, a collection of modules you can purchase and watch online on a huge variety of subjects. These blog boosters are bite-sized and information packed — we want you to be able to learn what you want, when you want, wherever you want! Each video comes equipped with PDF’s including an overview, a resource list or checklist, and at least one worksheet to drive the lessons home.

Welcome to The Blogcademy Home School!

Home School is not an online version of the workshop — while our in-person classes are all-encompassing and cover a wide range of subjects, the blog boosters are very defined, covering one subject in detail at a time — the majority of which are different from our in-class content. They’re a way to fill in your knowledge gaps quickly and effectively.

If you’re interested in learning about what segments are available, you can click on over and dig in. Each blog booster is only $20.00. And as a bonus, we made a FREE Blogging Basics video. Just log in with your Facebook account and start watching!

Home School will be growing quickly, with new modules being added every few months. If you’d like to stay on top of new offerings, you can join our mailing list (sign up at the top of our site under the header) and as a thank you, you’ll immediately receive a free PDF packed with our all-time favorite blogging resources!

Party With Us In London!

Welcome to The Blogcademy Home School!

One of the best parts about our in-person workshops is the friendships that are formed. It’s so nice to meet like-minded folks. In class, we preach about the value of in-person networking — all of our businesses grew tremendously when we left the comfort of our offices and started meeting people in real life. To help you jump-start your networking, we’re throwing a mixer in London and you’re invited! We promise that there will be absolutely no pretension or sweaty handshakes!

Wear your favorite garb, grab a stack of business cards and join us on Thursday, July 24th at The Roost for drinks, snacks, an awesome DJ, a photo booth and live Q&A session! Even better, you’ll leave the party with a kick-ass goodie bag and new friends. What’s not to love?!

And, if you don’t have a blog but just want to hang with us and have a great time, you’re totally welcome! Tickets are very limited so if you’re interested, book ASAP. I’m looking forward to hanging with you in London!

Thank You!

Thank you for your continued support when it comes to The Blogcademy. This is only the tip of the iceberg of what we have planned — we want to take the confusion out of learning the blogging ropes. Our new tagline is No boredom. No blathering. No bullshit. And, we mean it! Above all, we promise to make learning fun!

  1. I was totally excited with your new Blogcademy Home School that I immediately went to the website and checked it out. And you know what I loved it! What an awesome opportunity for anyone that can’t personally attend your workshop! Thanks for being amazing! You girls rock!

  2. Tara says:

Amazing! I certainly love the idea of affordability for these blog boosters! I’ll be sure to check them out. Maybe I’ll have enough money saved up if you guys ever do another workshop here in Portland :)

    • Shauna says:

Tara: We really wanted to make them affordable for almost everyone — bringing blogging to the people! And while I don’t think a Portland date is in our immediate future, there will hopefully be 1 or 2 West Coast dates next year. Would love to see you in one of the classes!

  3. Misaki Shimizu says:

    thank you very much!
I am really excited (I check your blog everyday before starting to work) and I would totally skip all of my duties just to watch your videos haha 😀
It’s especially cool, that one only needs to pay for what they are interested in!
    Keep going!

  4. Cherie says:

I love all your videos! Do you film your lessons and sessions and all around exploration yourselves?

    • Shauna says:

Cherie: We hired a pro to film all these — there’s so much editing that goes into the videos, there’s no way we could make them on our own. 😉

  5. Anna says:

Home school looks awesome and I would love to hear more about the site redesign, it’s such a big change so it would be interesting to hear what led you to it.

I signed up for updates, confirmed, and got the welcome and home school emails, but no blogging resources pdf… just wanted to check if I should sign up again or how I can fix it? Thanks!

    Anna

  6. Thank you so much for offering these classes on a class by class basis! I just took a class that I paid a good amount for and found it to be a little unspecific. I’m so glad to have an option for miniature booster classes when and where I need them. Thanks from a new blogger!
