On Saturday, Joey, Rocky and I took off for our annual trip to the Oregon Coast and I packed a dress I’d been obsessed with since the spring, a futuristic neoprene number from the Nasty Gal Collection. I’d worn it once before in New York a few months earlier but in my mind, it belonged on the beach. With that in mind, we awoke early before the crowds hit and walked along the windy shoreline of Cannon Beach.

With large zippers cutting through the exaggerated hips, I was first drawn to the cut because it reminded me of this jacket. And because of it, I’ve dubbed this look Rick Owens goes to the beach.
