Shauna, thanks so much for sharing my post in your Link Love! It’s been refreshing to see how many people can relate to social media overwhelm, and are open to simplifying things :)

Amy: Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the social media subject, I know a lot of people feel exactly the same way and it’s completely okay to unplug, push back and make more time for ourselves. There’s no point of living our lives feeling overwhelmed and busy, partially in the name of social media.

    • Shauna says:

Kelsey Elisabeth Benedict: Exactly. Just goes to show that we have to stand our ground! Bullying is not acceptable in real life and just because we’re online doe not make it okay.

I LOVED the article about not embracing social media. I’ve never had a Twitter or an Instagram or anything like that, and only have the Facebook account that I look at maybe once every month. The amount of social media that we’re expected to maintain and actively use has always disgusted me, so I’m glad to see some one else’s perspective of not enjoying it.

    • Shauna says:

Melissa: Good for you! I think there’s a lot of peer pressure to join in on social media but we have to stop and ask ourselves what purpose it’s really serving us. Because I have businesses online, i feel the need to keep up but if I didn’t I’d have a more laid back approach. It’s intense!
