Any way you slice it, returning from vacation and getting back into the swing of things is hard. And it always feels like it takes a week to regroup. But on the positive side, coming home after a great trip always gives me a fresh perspective on my own surroundings. Over the weekend, I went on a mad organizing spree, whipped my office into shape and cleaned out my closets. I also mixed in a few new details — I am way late to the washi tape craze but fell in love with these mixed color & pattern versions from Little Happy Things. I’m usually a neat freak but these taped-up walls are really inspiring me.

These are some little treasures I brought home from my LA getaway last week. I love this eraser from Sugar Paper. Great office supplies always make me happy. The advertisement and necklace are both from Anthropologie. And the business card is from Le Labo. I love picking up cards and print items from all over the city I’m staying in to pin them to my inspiration board when I get back.

I just finished up a new project for Luke Copping that I’m super excited about. His new print portfolio is zooming across the U.S. at this very moment, from Portland to New York. I spent a lot of time getting the color story and images to flow into a beginning, middle and end and can’t wait to share the full outcome with you. Some of our past collaborations can be seen here.

Our yard has always been more of a muddy pit than an oasis but this year, we’ve vowed to change all that. Joey has been hard at work on what he calls the Gnome District and Rocky has been keeping a close eye on the progress. Our goal is to have it landscaped so we can finally have a legit barbecue by the end of summer. Still so much to get done, though!

Have any weekend plans that you’re looking forward to?
