My print portfolio is finished and bound and I’ve taken it out for a spin quite a few times already…I just need to set aside the time to photograph it and show you! After years of reworking my portfolio, this is the first version that I’m totally happy with. Finally!
In honor of their recent online store launch, Zara let me pick out a few items. At the top of my list? Their shirts printed with newspaper logos. To be completely honest, I never understood the allure of Zara. A lot of retailers specializing in nice quality basics just don’t appeal to me. I want excitement, I want the avant garde, I want to feel inspired to get dressed up! But what I’ve since realized is that I have plenty of clothes. What my wardrobe is sorely lacking is good everyday basics. And what do I reach for first before adding other layers? Those basics.
Yes, still neon obsessed. It’s quite comical at this point. I found these nail polishes at the new Duane Reade on Wall Street. Seriously, it’s like a department store. So many good brands of cosmetics I’ve never seen in person!
From the department of random: We were in desperate need of a garage door. Ours was in terrible shape to begin with and completely broke about six months ago. Well, my brother seems to know everyone in town and in one of those perfect moments, found one for a great deal in the exact measurements we needed. A modern garage door on a very Bavarian house is kinda funny but we love it.
And, have I mentioned that I have the best friends ever? Anyone that hands me a homemade Michael Jackson card on my birthday is a keeper! Have a great weekend and stay warm! xoxo
