• My new favorite font? Llama Font, of course! ;)

• What would a life-size Barbie look like? Totally unnatural…and a great conversation starter about body image.

• This thought has crossed my mind many, many times: you’ll never be able to experience the majority of the world’s books, music, films, television and art in your lifetime.

• I enjoyed reading Gala’s article about not wanting children. Societal pressure on women can be intense and it’s totally okay to just say no!

• What would certain famous logos look like if they were being completely honest?

• Mailchimp has the best sponsorship slides around.

• Enough of the usual photos of baby animals, check out photos of these elderly animals!

• This is weird but oddly funny! What would the back of some well-known webpages look like?

• Two gay men have spent the last 21 years carrying a doll around the world. They christened him Digby and he has tons of custom outfits!

Adore the babydoll story. I think it’s cool to have that one constant while traveling. The world changes, the atmosphere changes, but they still have their little doll.

Ann: Agreed. Of course the couple is eccentric but they are also being practical in a way, knowing that a real child would be a burden on their lifestyle.

Wow I just read Gala’s article on Children, and I wholeheartedly agree with everything she just said!!! As a High School Teacher, I couldn’t imagine how to balance my teaching life with my cat, dog, ferret AND a baby, but many of my colleagues do this every day with multiple children! AHHH!

So when my students (mostly female) ask me if I want children (this idea is instilled in them at a very young age of the “women’s checklist”) I always tell them “You and your children’s children are all the kids I’ll ever need.” Its true to, I feel like I’m mothering 15-16 year olds on how to take care of themselves. When they hear that I choose not to have children, other girls pipe in and ask if that is an option, and I always tell them yes, if you, at this point, do not want children, and cannot picture yourselves having any, then maybe children are not the best option for you, but your life can always change. Anyway, had to put my two cents in, I’ll message Gala about this as well :-D
