I’m not gonna lie, this week wasn’t exactly exciting. It basically went like this: home desk > agency desk. Agency desk > home desk. With no time to do anything in-between. I’m working on a combination of media kits and websites right now and producing some of my favorite work (on top of the usual corporate stuff) but sometimes getting that work in shape takes all of my time. I’m excited though because this weekend is Stumptown Comics Fest which means that quite a few of my friends will be in town including Star and Molly! Yay!

Onto the above photo. When I picked out shoes for my Vegas wedding last year, I wanted to find something that would be wearable after the big day. I hate the idea of wearing something once, only to throw it into the back of my closet, never to be used again. I got an insane deal on these Camilla Skovgaards and fell in love with the weird flaps resembling Dumbo ears, not to mention the corset lacing up the back. They’re pretty dressy so I needed to find a way to bring them down a few notches for daily wear. When I found the Sheer Lux Solid tights, I knew they’d met their match. Spring and Summer, here I come! I promise to pack away all the black. At least some of it…

Great type specimens are everywhere….even on gourmet chocolate packaging that I picked up in Seattle. Welcome to my home office. As you’ve probably gathered, it’s mostly white with pops of black and red. When I picked up some black curtains last year at Urban Outfitters, my brother relentlessly mocked me, calling them my ‘goth curtains.’ Now that the sun has finally come out after what felt like six months of darkness, I think I’m ready for a change. I’m leaning towards a gray wool carpet and gray patterned curtains. I already know that both will work perfectly because we have the same exact gray rug in two other rooms. The curtains, too. Hey, when you find something that works, stick with it! Right?

I’m still obsessing over dry transfer letters. I am sad that I missed out completely on the days of design when transfer letters and french curves were necessities….now it seems like designers never leave their computer…at least I don’t. Read more about the Veer letter set here.

Now that we’re coming out of our Winter coma, We’re itching to get some house stuff done. There are so many little things….that when piled together just seem completely overwhelming. I am the focused one while my brother is all over the place with 10 unfinished projects all going simultaneously. I’m trying to reel him in and get him on track with varying results. Haha.

I love pretty much everything that Eight Hour Day puts out. Their design work is always impeccable. When I spotted this Infinite Possibilities print, I knew I had to have it. It’s clipped to my inspiration board for now until I track down a frame. So beautiful!

I’m totally with you on the “not spending a fortune on shoes you’ll only wear once” thing. That’s why I’ve been scouring the internet for amazing wedding-worthy shoes that I’ll also get to wear after the big day. No white satin for me! I’m hoping I’ll think about my wedding day every time I wear the shoes. Is that the case for you?

Also, your dining room looks amazing, and I love that print!

I think your RSS feed is broken again. The last post in my reader is from April 5th.

But more to the point, I actually dropped by your blog to show you these… Saw them and thought of you. http://www.etsy.com/people/post (Though at that price point, I doubt the quality is to your standards.)

Now I have some Nubby blog posts to catch up on!

    Nubs,

Not to be nosy but, do you, your brother, and your husband all live together? If so, that sounds AMAZING! Sounds like such a supportive and fun house. I would love to have that kind of arrangement someday.

M: Yep, we all live under the same roof. My brother and I already were in the house when Joey and Rocky came along so now we’re one big happy family!
