Visiting Seattle! I wore a Rick Owens jacket, Forever 21 dress and leggings, Y-3 wedge sneakers and a Miu Miu bag.

I’ve always been a die-hard MAC lipstick fan but last month, I left for New York in a hurry and forgot every last one. Not having time to go shopping in the days before boarding a plane for Paris, I ducked into a duty-free shop and grabbed a warm neutral shade of NARS lipstick called Napoli. I’m now a total convert, in part because it has the most perfect light citrus scent that only the French can master. Oh, and the packaging rules.

This morning, Joey and I left bright and early for Seattle to pick up his art from a show. That went fairly fast so we had a few hours to eat, shop and take photos. We are already back home but it was nice to get away for half a day and visit all his old haunts (he lived in Seattle for about 10 years).

I found this movie theatre sign particularly charming.

Ahhh, how awesome is this?! On the side of Pike Place is this alley with a building covered in chewing gum. If you get close enough, you can even smell the fruity scents!

I also perused the foreign titles at the news stand. Visiting Seattle is always a great experience. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Aw, the Uptown cinema in Queen Anne! I was so sad when I’d heard they’d closed. That marquee is perfect though- the employees there were fab. :-)

I’m definitely planning on trying out NARS next time I see their set up. I’ve always just passed them by because I am also a MAC devotee. If you’re ever in Seattle and in need of someone to grab coffee with, shoot me an email!

becca: I always passed by NARS as well because they’re more expensive and let’s face it, MAC has a great selection. But I’ve found NARS to be even more moisturizing and I happened to find the perfect warm neutral shade.
