I’m not gonna lie, the last few weeks have been really stressful. Sometimes, no matter how much work you have to do, you just have to step away and recharge. On Sunday, I drove out to the suburbs to a hairdresser I’ve been going to for five years, caught up on life and I showed her my wedding photos (we hadn’t seen each other since I’d left for Vegas back in September).

She was inspired by my hair in the photos and did a similar style. I’ve always stayed away from curly hair — to me, sleek, smooth, super shiny hair was most appealing. But I guess with age, I’m softening up! This is only the second time ever I’ve had curls. Change is good sometimes — I need to learn to embrace it more!

Right in the middle of taking these photos, a guy rode between Joey & I and proceeded to drop his massive collection of bottles right in front of us. BOOM! He looked directly at me and smiled and then he rode away without a care in the world.

That vest is GORGEOUS! I like your hair in curls it’s funny actually because I’ve been curling my hair recently to. That dress is so pretty it reminds me of something I saw in All Saints a while ago xoxo

I completely agree with you on luxirare. Her projects are so well executed from presentation to end product – with a bit of ocd not unfamiliar to virgos =) The vest is very you! It has that medieval dark princess look.

    TWO-MORE-DAYS!!!

Oh, and your hair looks totes gorgeous. And the bottle bag dude must have recognized you as the beautifully coiffed celeb that you are, and wanted to get his pic up on your website. Either that or he was giving you the gift of recycling…

Ooh! I’m going to LA next month…any design scenes I should check out??? xo

Hi Nubby, I am visiting your blog since about 2 years and I like it very much! Also now your cross vest – as I wear only black and also like extraordinary clothes very much – it´s fantastic! Have a good day!

Liz: Yes, MARRIED! Funny how that happens!

Everyone else, thanks for your sweet sweet comments! I wish I could do curled / styled hair all the time — what a luxury that would be. Until then, it’s flat head for me. Love you guys!

  7. Hi Nubby! I’ve been reading your blog for awhile, but this is my first comment! I just wanted to say that your hair looks gorgeous! Curls suit you! I agree, it’s hard to embrace change, but I wish I could look as cute as you while doing so!
