I wore my furry jacket a lot. Got even more organized (my office closet is looking better than ever). Dreaded the thought of sorting through a massive pile of receipts (hello, tax season). Dreaded quarterly taxes. Drank too many coffees. Paid a visit to my favorite cafeteria. Worked nonstop on graphics for the NBA All-Star game. Released my 2011 Corporate Identity. Stayed up late working on freelance. Felt overwhelmed just thinking about updating my print portfolio (out with the old, in with the new). Enjoyed getting everything sorted and organized on my new (27 inch!!!) iMac. Awaited the new episode of Jersey Shore. Received a totally awesome book all about Avant Garde in the mail from Gingko Press. Started work on a new Solestruck campaign. And, somewhere in there, slept. The new year is magical, ripe with opportunities and as busy as ever.

Last week, I mentioned that Joey got me Crystal Head Vodka for Christmas. It’s just the coolest thing ever. Now happily residing on my desk, I like it too much to even consider opening it.

We’ve been working on a little project and no, this isn’t a sea anemone. Just you wait. Stop by next week to see what some black paint and spikes can do to transform the everyday into the…dangerous.

Our reproduction version of the famous Le Klint 172B light has been installed for about a month now in the bedroom and this is what it looks like in the daylight. Even though the bottom half of our bedroom walls are painted black, the top quarter above the molding as well as the ceiling are white so it doesn’t feel cave-like or dark at all.

Go ahead and laugh but I made another trip to The Container Store and in the process, found an ideal way to organize my makeup pencils and brushes. I was storing them in a glass jar and everything would just get buried. This lucite tray allows them to lay flat, making it easy to see exactly what you have so that you don’t end up with duplicates.

Trying to spend a holiday gift card at Crate & Barrel, I discovered perhaps the most stylish coffee cups in existence. It’s the little things in life that make me happy.
Live it up, it’s the weekend! See you Monday!
