What I Wore: 1.1.11 // Faux.

How’s the new year treating you so far? This is what I wore on January 1st. I religiously hit the Urban Outfitters sale the day after Christmas every year and this time, I scored this faux fur jacket, marked down from $148.00 to $25.00! I’ve always wanted a jacket like this but don’t wear real fur so this was the perfect solution. My dad calls it the ‘King Kong Jacket’ but I don’t care. It’s been freezing every single day and I’d like to keep warm and cozy in style.

I Wore:
Jacket, Kimchi Blue (Urban Outfitters)
Gray sweater, thrifted
Shirt, H&M
Jeans, Kill CIty
Belt, H&M
Headband, Forever 21
Boots, Camilla Skovgaard

P.S. I ran out of time this morning but I have the annual Nubbytwiglet.com rebranding post coming up on Wednesday. Thanks for your continued support and cheers to a new year!

As always – killer style and ahead of the curve. I’m in the early stages pre-pruduction on an editorial with a thematically similar aesthetic to this outfit.

Glorious! The things my dad hates most are inevitably the things I love best …

That is an amazing find! It’s hard to find outerwear that’s affordable and attractive at the same time!

Luke Copping: That is so awesome and I can’t wait to see the outcome.
Gala: Ahhh, too funny. Seems like we’re after all the same things these days….and I’m not the least bit surprised!
Claudia Drake: It’s oh so cozy, you’d love it!
Sally: I think my dad was more amused than anything….when I showed up at a suburban bar wrapped in this ole thing.
Matthew Manos: Crate and Barrel, of all places!
Tiffany: My friend found it at a garage sale….it was an odd green color so we spray painted it white.
Vanessa: Agreed! And this is as warm (and cuddly) as it looks.

3/4 length sleeves make me so happy.
The Portland chill is destroying my wardrobe. We rarely have winters like this, so I am ill-prepared!

Great outfit! I’m totally on your side in terms of the keeping warm and cozy in style, but you’ve got to love dads and their wild analogies for their daughter’s outfits.
I LOVE kill city. I really hope the brand reaches even greater heights this year. Their party was one of the best for this year’s Los Angeles’ Fashion’s Night Out!

I’ve been looking for a proper faux fur short jacket that’s all furry and wispy at the same time.
This is amazing.

so envious. i’ve been looking for a jacket similar to that one for ages! too bad we dont have urban outfitters here in manila, or weather that would be perfect for such a jacket…

I’ve been looking at this jacket for a while, but i’m not sure which size to use. How does it fit on you?
