Happy Christmas Eve! Baby, it’s cold outside….but we’re gonna get the fireplace going, pour some champagne and open presents. Though, I noticed that Rocky’s stocking is three times the size of mine. Perhaps it shrunk in the wash?

Joey & I stopped by Stumptown this morning after a low-key breakfast and only when I was editing this photo did I notice that lady flashing the peace sign in the background! Ha!

Towards the end of last week, I flew into Portland from Phoenix and in an hour flat, I was at the Overland Agency holiday party. The jam band that was playing moved seamlessly between Led Zeppelin, Metallica and Tool. I didn’t know that was possible…those ad execs have secret talents.

The folks over at Obsorn sent me some simple canvas shoes that I plan on modifying with a little D.I.Y. handiwork. I can’t wait to share the outcome, hopefully next week!

On Saturday night, Joey and I dropped by Dave Allen’s annual holiday party. I was glad that Joey finally got to meet Dave — he was an early influence when I first began blogging and we’ve been friends ever since. I had a chance to catch up with friends I hadn’t seen in months and it was so nice to see everyone in great spirits.

Up until last week, I’d never stepped inside The Container Store. All I can say is that it’s a Virgo’s dream. Aisles upon aisles of stuff to organize your stuff with! What a concept! I would have bought a million other things if I hadn’t been traveling but settled on the perfect solutions to organize both my lipsticks and business cards.

Sunday was spent working on a mini shoot for Solestruck’s Matiko Giveaway and quite funny since Joey and I were shooting the shoes in the dining room while my brother was shooting Kristin from Bleach Black in the living room.

The bottom pair of shoes are like Darth Vader chic, don’t you think? Lustworthy. But, enough chit-chat. It’s time to get to work setting out champagne and cookies for Santy Claws. Have a very Merry Christmas! xoxo

Hahaha, that nonchalant photobomb is the first thing I noticed (not to say that your puffy sweater isn’t marvelously puffy), how priceless. :D Merry Christmas and happy holidays!

Haha! Loving the lady with the peace sign! Omg thank you for the link to the container store – I’m an organisation freak! Definitely a Capricorn dream too! :D

Have a wonderful christmas – and you’re right about doggies stockings being bigger than our own, my mum and dad’s dog got the most presents out of all of us! Merry Christmas! xx

Lola: Thanks very much! I hope yours was super enjoyable! Our Xmas was super low key due to a huge rush with Joey’s commission work and my freelance but next year, I hope to have an all white tree, time to shop for presents and bake cookies! I appreciate your continued support and comments. Here’s to a great 2011!

Mary Bee: I KNOW!!! The way last year ended was so magical. I am so happy we met and that I joined you for the craziest and best road trip of a lifetime. I miss you dearly and FYI, my gorgeous gnome is tucked away near my desk so that each time I pull out a business card or reach for my hard drive, he’s there, keeping me company. Gotta keep the loved ones close. ;) Joey and I realllly want to visit LA. So maybe we can plan a mini trip to meet you or something….let’s start planning! After Paris in February, I am open till September. xoxoxo

Charlene: So random, so funny. I love it when stuff like that happens.

Kaz: The Container Store is my new obsession….I need to make a pilgrimage back. It’s full of stuff I never knew existed but would make my belongings looks so much better and more organized! Haha.

Sandra At Debutante Clothing: Yes, do show me. They sound fabulous. I am on a bit of a lucite binge at the moment.

I am surprised to hear you’ve not been inside Container Store before this week. It is indeed a Virgo’s dream. Perhaps their design team is a group of Virgos. Their tag line is “contain yourself” =) I always have trouble doing that.

  6. Chelsea Rae says:

I took my dad (a Virgo) to The Container Store about a month ago. Before we went inside, he kept making fun of me because I’m slightly (I say “functionally”) OCD, and he said that The Container Store was and anal person’s dream store, but when we went in the store, his tune totally changed. I headed straight to the hangers when we entered as not to get distracted from the task at hand, and when I found my father 15 minutes later in the kitchen section he says in this kid in a candy shop voice, “This place is AMAAAAAZING!” I was like, “You bet it is! Glad to see your inner Virgo is coming out.”

Now, I can’t keep him out of it!
