In all honesty, I feel like I barely made it through this week (too many late nights, too many cups of coffee in an attempt to balance it out) but all I can say is this: my sequined mouse ears are packed. That’s what matters right at this moment.

Above are a few items that have been hanging around my office as of late: a new-ish white version of my beloved Avant Garde necklace, gray paint chips (we need to paint our very 80s kitchen very badly), a Forever 21 multi-chain necklace and one of my many trusty Stabilo pens.

This weekend, Joey and I went to the park so I could shoot some shoes for a batch of new Solestruck ads and this is what I wore. Not exactly appropriate park attire. Everyone else was doing the casual Sunday thing, having picnics and engaging in very weird workout routines.

This is one of the newest ads I’ve done for Solestruck — I especially like it because I shot it on the bottom half of my dining room table!

Onto the topic of packing. Here’s what I’m bringing with me. Everything is highly practical, I might add. ‘Practical’ to me equates to wedge sneakers, the new issue of W featuring a very naked Kim Kardashian, a belt with four buckles, etc. You get the point.

This Fall, I’ve barely bought any clothing. Instead, I’ve been focusing on how a handful of high quality accessories can freshen up what’s already in my closet. A recent purchase has been the 4 Strap Belt. I love how it adds some visual interest to my pile of basic black dresses.

I’m sitting at the airport right now getting ready to board my flight so I must bid you farewell. Enjoy your weekend! Things may be a bit slow around here again for next week but will resume to normal after that.

Peace, Love and Nubs,

Did you dye your hair a blueish-black? It looks very tres chic! The Solestruck ad turned out beautifully! You deserve a long break. Have fun in Disney! xoxo

  2. Seriously great minds, I’ve got the 3-strap belt on my favourites list on Etsy! When I went to buy it Zana had sold out but it’s for sale again now… unfortunately it’s no longer appropriate financially. But you’ve inspired me to keep it in mind when I get paid next!! x

Have you tried buckling the belt in different buckles as opposed to the one directly meant for each one? I think it would look awesome if it was crisscrossing. I think I’ll get one just to do that.

    Anna: Thanks, darlin!

Lola: My hair is still very blackish black — the lighting was just really bright and weird that day! I’ve been having so much fun shooting and designing ads for Solestruck. There’s many more coming up.

Alicia – Sea of Ghosts: It’s a beauty! Nice, lightweight and it makes everything look cooler.

Justine: I just got it before leaving on a trip so I haven’t had a chance to explore different ways to wear it yet…but that sounds like an interesting possibility!

    Dawn: It’s called Austin.
