Sorry I’m a bit late, I got caught up in a perfect storm of rush jobs that spanned the last two days. It’s a beautiful day out and I squeezed in a quick morning coffee run with my friend Pam, sent out a few rounds of work and then made a mad dash around downtown with Joey where we managed to buy a new suitcase, pickles, vegan pizza, visited the Solestruck folks and took photo booth snapshots in record time.

Though I have collected enough internet design inspiration to last for days, there’s nothing quite like picking up a good ol’ book. There are some recent titles I’ve acquired this month. That Pantone notebook is now my near-constant companion. It’s getting used on a daily basis and is quickly filling up with to-do lists, plans, notes and sketches. And, the GQ Style Manual is inspiring my new portfolio design. Inspiration pops up in the most random of places, I swear.

A few months back, I designed a logo for Aroha Silhouettes and they were nice enough to send me their jewelry box packaging samples. A full post about the logo design process is coming soon!

Snaps from earlier today. Joey and I made a quick stop at The Ace — their photo booth in the lobby accepts debit cards and I can never resist a few swipes.

This is the vegan pizza I mentioned earlier. It’s as good as it looks. Get your very own at Rocco’s.

Yipes stripes! I’ve been wearing these Y-3 sneakers pretty much constantly. Here, they’re paired with Wolford Bondage tights and a vintage white leather skirt from an antique mall in Seattle.

Back to freelance! I’m working hard this weeked since I’ll be running through Disney World next Saturday with my brother. Love you guys!

The logo looks beautiful! Isn’t it so rewarding to see the final product after so much hard work? Also, you and Joey are adorable…just wish he’d smile once in awhile! He must be the brooding type…how very James Dean!

  2. Rachel says:

Love those tights (I guess it’s for the best that I didn’t go into that Wolford’s I saw in Paris, for the temptation would’ve been too much), and love Roccos!

  3. Amy says:

Ha, I knew you’d get addicted to the sporty shoes look! Joey looks cute :) I’ve been eying the Pantone notebooks as well…I like them better than planners, so much more room for creativity!

Matthew Manos: Good question. Now I am wondering! Miraculously, it stayed pretty solid. Hmmmmm.

Lola: I know, I am always trying to get him to smile! But I hate it when people do that to me so maybe I should just leave him alone. ;)

    The Photodiarist: Big thanks. <3

Rachel: Your credit cards thanks you!!

Amy: True! The quality of the Pantone notebooks is so good too. They really do hold up to heavy duty wear and tear.

Kori: Thanks for sharing — I love those so much! I’m trying not to buy that much new stuff for Fall but maybe someday those will make their way into my wardrobe….
