Welcome to The Week in Pictures! Today I woke up early and cleaned my office (above). Don’t be fooled — the rest of our house isn’t so prim and organized!
Last weekend I stopped by Buffalo Exchange and found this vintage Geiger sweater (from Austria). I am not normally much of a purple fan but I love the cut, texture and buttons on this.
Sometimes I inadvertently match my nails to my shoes to my snack.
Another office shot. Red crosses are (always) sprinkled throughout.
Last weekend, I made a trip out to Edgefield with my dad. It’s one of those perfect places to visit in Summer.
I found these Silence + Noise zipper leggings on sale on the Urban Outfitters website and I think they’re going to be my new summer staple. Much lighter weight than the zipper jeans I usually favor.
Current inspiration in my office.
Enjoy your weekend (and don’t get too sunburnt!)
Sometimes, it’s nice to worry more about being comfortable and borrow from the boys. For the Fourth of July, I wore Joey’s old ‘Freddy Krueger’ sweater (not very patriotic, huh?) and grabbed his matching Swatch Colour Codes watch. I can’t imagine wearing anything close to this now — in just the last few days, the temperature has climbed to 100 degrees and here in Portland, we are dyyyying. I am lucky to spend most of my days in a dark, air conditioned office but the second I get home, the full on melting begins.

• A total mind bender. I really, really want an Inspiration Pad!
• Okay, it’s official. I am totally in love with the Fall Miu Miu campaign. I’ll take one of everything. I love the detachable collars and bursts of color mixed with black — Miuccia Prada has somehow made the 60s look fresh again:
This page was an intro to a W Magazine fashion spread last year — I became slightly obsessed with it at the time and had it pinned above my desk for many months. I really like the use of Helvetica paired with the op-art graphic. It’s so very reminiscent of a vintage Swiss poster design and I am Swiss-obsessed so there you go. If this was a contract of some kind, I would sign my name (in blood) without even reading the fine print — I like the looks of it that much.

To my American readers, I hope you had an awesome 4th of July! My days off were spent making multiple trips to Sears to buy new kitchen appliances (glamorous, I know). In the evening, we had a little BBQ in the backyard. Rocky is scared of fireworks so we stayed home and watched T.V. with him and then called it a night. What did you do? Any rooftop parties or camping trips or visits to the country with your friends to blow off your secret stash??
