Color Codes // 01

Color Codes is a new series of freeform, image-based posts comprised of my photos and design and mixed with found images of objects and spaces that I find compelling. The singular factor that ties them all together are their color schemes.

Red, red, red, black, white, some more red… my heart sings. Plus, I really like the idea of red eye makeup without making it look like you have…. red-eye. :)

I have a feeling this is the one and only edition of color code…you only wear red, black and white! Unless you color code Joey, then Rocky, then Auntie Nubs! That would be interesting! Haha! :-)

Charlene: Totes. That’s a tricky one! I probably wouldn’t do red eye makeup in real like but it’s fun in photos!

Skye: Thanks! That illustration was by Star for a collab we were working on a few years ago. I just love her style.

Luinae: Pretty much! A bit obsessive….but it works for me.

Lola: HA! It’s actually going to be an ongoing series — there will be a lot of red / black / white posts because I have a TON of rad images that I couldn’t fit in but I also want to do other combos with grays, etc. I have thousands of photos and product images, many of which haven’t been seen for a few years (or ever) and this seems like a good way to get them out there in a semi-organized way. ;)
