Two weekends ago, I found this white blouse with asymmetrical buttons and an oversized collar on the rack at Buffalo Exchange (along with that cute vintage Geiger sweater. Score!) I like how it manages to be both classic and avant garde and I’ve worn it five times already — it’s light and airy and perfect for heat wave we’ve been having.

I always forget how sturdy the Clinics are, despite their height. If you’re lusting after a pair, Solestruck has them in stock!

Joey wasn’t expecting to have his photo taken. He’d been painting all day and we had perhaps five minutes of daylight left so we were in a big hurry. As I was standing on the steps of a church, a priest spotted us and asked if he could take our photo. You can’t say no to a priest so we obliged. And no, we’re not one of those couples that intentionally try to match…it just happens that our wardrobes are the same color scheme!

I Wore:

Shirt, Lisa Law (New Zealand)
Zipper Leggings, Silence + Noise
Flower Headband, Forever 21
Clinics, Jeffrey Campbell from Solestruck

All photos by Joey.

Amazing as always! You and your black and white rock! :)

Great collar on the shirt! My boyfriend and I are the same; always ending up matching by coincidence – and since we don’t live together I guess it shows just how ‘in tune’ we are!

lol my boyfriend always match by coincidence as well. we’re off our streak since it’s summer time.

My mom always said that the longer that couples are together, the more they start looking alike and matching. :)

That top is SUCH a find! It always feels like a bonus to score foreign-born clothes at the thrift store, no?

You two are so adorable! And I love that white top. A cool twist on a classic!

This is such a perfect outfit! <3 I'd love to have the shoes, but the import fees from US are crazy here :(
Both of you look so lovely, even a priest noticed!

Are you guys engaged? You have a ring on your engagement finger … I notice these things!

Jake and I must have seen you guys right after these photos were taken!

Joey is getting really amazing at taking pictures! You look uber beautiful in these shots. I love the last photo taken by the priest…you two look like the perfect couple! ♥A match made in heaven, I guess!

You and Joey on the steps of the Second Coming church. Were you waiting for the Rapture?

» Nubby said: { Jul 13, 2010 - 07:07:36 }

Kristin: True. I’ve seen some funny examples of that. It’s funny when people are wearing very specific patterns, matching khakis, etc.

Sally: Most definitely. It’s like you’re unearthing a hidden treasure from a far, far away land!

Insomnia: As Joey likes to say, he was pretty ‘scuzzy’ in that pic but thank you all the same. :) I know all too well about getting hit the other way around with import fees. I ordered a pair of shoes once from Sweden and got hit with a $150.00 fee! Yeowwwwch!

Karen: Good eyes! Though we’re together for good (’2010 Till Forevs as we jokingly say), I don’t really believe in getting engaged. For me, it’s all or nothing! Ha.

Little Wolfette: Yes, my dear…it was that night, right before you zoomed off to your Korean Western! I hope you had an awesome birthday (I saw those flowers he was giving you — cute!)

Lola: Thanks, my sweets. You always leave the most glittering comments! A match made in heaven = hahahaaaaa!

Auntie Nubs: I do not know of which Rapture you speak of.

It’s not only your outfits that match, it’s you and Joey! You’re such a sweet couple!

This blog is just like narcissism at its best…it just gets worse and worse. I used to actually like the blog before it became all about what she wore on what day. Jesus who gives a fuck.

» Nubby said: { Jul 14, 2010 - 08:07:38 }

X-Fan: Just to be clear, this blog is more than design. The tagline clearly reads “Design, Style and Marketing Magnified” and I’ve been doing What I Wore posts consistently for the last three years. I love fashion.

I love these photos, Nubby. Especially the first one. And I hope you continue posting photos about style and what you wear for as long as you want to. I enjoy those types of posts the most.

» Nubby said: { Jul 17, 2010 - 09:07:15 }

The Photodiarist: Thanks, personally I love seeing what people are wearing and how they put themselves together — it’s such a reflection of who they are. I look at so many style blogs and feel like sharing is a two-way street so I’ll continue to do so. Thanks for reading!
