The Inspiration Pad looks wonderful, but I was taken aback when I read it’s 15 euros for… 32 pages O_o !

The Economist article seems a bit pessimistic.
Yes, new things are being served but I think it just means that different tastes will be better satisfied, not that a certain taste will go unsatisfied.

If there’s only bread, a 100% of consumers will eat bread. If there are bread and bagels, bread’s numbers might fall to 50%, but overall happiness will increase because those who stick with it will be the people who really like it… and the other 50% will be really into their new-found bagels. The only problem might come to solely bread-makers, but if they are general bakers – no problems for them.

I do love miu miu but definitely think their past stuff was better like:http://www.style.com/slideshows/fashionshows/F2004RTW/MIUMIU/RUNWAY//00010f.jpg. I soooo agree with you about the bursts of colour with the black but got to say I despise the detachable collars. Hmmmm suppose my opinion is “could do better”. Thanks for posting it though!!!!

Lola: Besides the Miu Miu boutiques I think Neiman’s carries it. I originally spotted my huge black bag at a Neiman’s in Honolulu years ago but couldn’t afford it at the time. I eventually found mine on Ebay, complete with the original tags, dustbag and receipt. In Portland we don’t have many higher end retailers (Saks is closing) besides Nordstrom and I don’t think they carry Miu Miu which I am sort of thankful for — and so is my bank acct!

Tariro: Most fashion is kind of blah to me but Miu Miu really set the bar high for Fall. It’s like my dream mix of Rudi Gernreich / Space Age / Courreges / Schoolgirl!

Jess Needs A New Face: The pattern might look good on different leg shapes though…I think of patterned tights as removable tattoos…probably kinda weird but you know what I mean. I like that they would look slightly different on everyone depending on build and skin tone.

Kaz: The second I saw it, I ripped it out right then and there and tacked it to my inspiration board!

The picture from Marie Claire is gorgeous! I love the girl’s hair – maybe I should go for a copper feel. The yellow sunglasses really stand out – looks great! (And I’m not even much of a yellow fan!!)

wow, i love the miu miu! the stockings are trippy, but i have a feeling the effect would be lost if i tried to stretch them over my non-stick-thin legs.

Wow! Those Miu Miu shots are great! For some reason, they remind me of the old 50′s and 60′s sewing patterns – maybe it’s the outfits, maybe it’s how they’re standing…the shoes and tights are awesome, and I love that they used two of my favourite colours!
