If I was a nurse from the future, I’d wear a crisp white dress, sky-high patent gray wedges and walk the halls with a matching white dog to cheer up the patients.

This dress is probably the oldest piece of clothing in my entire closet. I found it for around $3 in 1997 at a Goodwill. The tag insides makes it appear to be a vintage gym uniform but I usually style it more nurse-like with red cross pins attached to the pocket.

I wore:

Dress, vintage
Belt, vintage
Punctuation tights, American Apparel
Bow, Forever 21
Wedges, Dries van Noten

Thanks to Joey for taking all of the photos (and loaning me Rocky)!

P.S. Apologies if you’ve had any weird issues with my site lately. I am currently working with a developer to get some fixes in place. In the meantime, everything should be back to running smoothly. xoxo

I’m a nurse from the present, and I could only wish to look as adorable as you do in your white dress. And, yes, the little white dog would do wonders for my patients.

  2. Conchita says:

lol at the dog’s expression in the first photo. Strong wind eh? xD the type in the header is as adorable as you are, loves it. May I ask what is the typeface? Thanks.

nikki: Sometimes I joke that Rocky is an animatronic little creature someone whipped up in a top secret lab!

Nikki: Aww, thanks! Glad to hear from a real life nurse! I’ve always been fascinated by medical imagery, anything with the red cross and uniforms but in real life, I’d be terrible at being a nurse. I probably would have been a much better candy striper 50+ years ago…

Conchita; Yes, a strong wind! Cracked me up….poor little Rocky!

Kate: Great minds thing alike! It seemed kind of bulky at first but now I am loving the volume.

Jennifer le Roux: I in some more candid photos (photo booths, with friends, etc.) But for outfit photos, I try to go for a more editorial feel.
