Business Card Madness

Last week, my square cards arrived. This week, two sets of standards showed up from Overnight Prints. These are meant to be a visual bridge between my 2009 and 2010 identities with the color scheme and backs from last year merged with DIN from this year.

Small and sophisticated versus bigger is better. White versus black. Minimalism versus maximalism.

Both cards feature the same back that I’ve used since 2006. Those striped Kors Firebird wedges were a good investment! I remember gasping as I handed over my credit card back in my college days. They still sit on my bookshelf in my office to this day!

The black minimalism look of the first card works well, but I’d say that it’s not nearly as strong as the second card’s bold presence. I have to agree, the second white ones are a win! Patrick Bateman wouuld be proud (before he’d ax you).

This really makes me want to make my own business cards just for fun (and I don’t even have a business). You are so inspirational, Nubby!

These would look awesome with foil or UV spot gloss. :)
