These Dries van Noten babies are like an acid trip for your feet. They’re a bit of a departure from my normal style, but I love them so much. Perfect for Spring, they’re super soft and slightly slouchy. I’d watched these boots a solid six months as they languished on the Halo sale rack and finally swooped in when they reached 70% off.

Hailing from Fall 2008, I lusted after every single piece of psychedelic / marbled / splattered clothing in that collection. I never ended up with any of the clothing, but these boots and a pair of pumps I got last year are plenty enough of a compensation. They’re definitely coming with me to Vegas this Spring!

i’m gripped by shoe-envy.. wow. also they’re a really nice 60-influenced take on your usually monochrome style- colour suits you, Nubby! and i think its gonna be a psychedelic summer, style-wise..you’re ahead of the trend:)

Annie Spandex: Dries as usual was way ahead of the curve!

luxlux: Psychedelic summer indeed! Totally perfect style direction, methinks.

Ashley: The room that’s almost all black is my living room. THe all white room is the former dining room that we just redid. Gotta put a few finishing touches on it and then I’ll show it in detail!

Insomnia: Haha….in reality, that’s my living room and dining room!

    Charlene: Totes psychedelic!

Sally: They’re pretty nuts for wearing around Portland, but that’s never stopped me before!

That was a good day at Halo. I’ve been wearing my boots a lot, too.
Yours are wonderful…They’re even better looking in person. I love the Halo sale rack!

keep an eye on those boots I might cross north america and snatch them….love the outfit pure awesomeness

Those boots are so rad! I definitely need to track down a pair of psychedelic boots to add to my ever growing collection of shoes.

And although it’s a change from your usual style it fits you incredibly well.

Wow! They’re beautiful Nubby. Whenever I think psychedelic I always think Zappa! It’s inspired me to invest in some quality shoes next purchase. I used to have a huge sneaker collection that I loved dearly. Lately it’s been $10 ballet flats tho. I’m definitely a great bargain hunter, having limited funds definitely makes you think creatively about EVERYTHING… from being inventive with meals with only three ingredients in the cupboard, to cutting your own hair and revamping old favourites in the wardrobe lol :)

i just noticed little Rocky sitting by you in the last shot. If it wasn’t for his jacket, he’d look like part of the rug.

  8. Those boots are AMAZING. I love the green bits. Not your usual style, but that’s what makes you so damn chic….you branch out when you are inspired! Mmmmm…..Dries…..

This is a random question, but I have that Nixon in wood and if I wear it with a bracelet/cuff, I find it’s really hard to work on my computer. Keeps clackity clackin’. Do you take yours off to work or does it just not bother ya?

Wow, those boots are out of this world! I love the colors, especially the green. Going outside of our usual tastes makes life more interesting…
