What I Wore: 3.12.10 // Jeweled Shoulders

Auntie Nubs stopped by Wolfgang Manor to visit me last week and I sweet talked her into taking some photos for me. I feel like I have a pile of very similar little black dresses but this one caught my eye in particular because instead of buttoning, it zips up the front. Oh, and the jeweled shoulders remind me of Michael Jackson. Can’t go wrong there. This is going to be another super busy week but I am hoping to do a big design post on Wednesday of a project that I just wrapped up.
P.S. Yes, that is an animal head on our kitchen table. Inviting, huh? Thank my brother for that one.
I wore:
Glamorous Epaulet Accent Dress, Forever 21
Belt, vintage
Tights, DKNY
Necklace, headband & bracelet, Forever 21
Atacoma wedges, Acne

You can’t never have too much black dresses. Especially one that reminds you of Michael.

Insomnia: Thank you. & Black dresses are a total wardrobe staple. Perfect for every occasion!
Auntie Nubs: You know it! Prayin’….and then mexican food!
Caroline Royce: Agreed. Totally KISS.
Lola: She went to art school and has an impeccable sense of composition. And, she’s been my ‘professional photographer’ since 1981!

Love those epaulets! Look like they could be a fairly easy DIY project too…hmmmm

The Photodiarist: That’s a HUGE complement coming from you…your photos have so much soul. Adore your work!!
Eleanor Jane: Actually, my skin has been freaking out lately. Major breakouts! I just went back to the Clinique 3-Step Skincare system which seems to be working really well. For makeup, I use MAC Studiofix and MAC concealer too and they tend to disguise problem areas really really well.
Melissa Dominic: I love it when I pull something off the rack, don’t try it on, get it home and it works out perfectly. AND!!! It has pockets. Dresses with pockets = best invention ever.
Erin E: I would LOVE to see someone do epaulets as a DIY! I want to add them to EVERYTHING.

I must agree with you Nubby on the “dresses with pockets = best invention ever”, they need to make more of them!
Very cute outfit, I love the leggings with the dress. You really know how to mix and match your clothes so that they don’t look repetitive. That my friend, is one hell of a skill, not many master.

It’s like that dress and those shoes were made for each other. Seeing them together gives me the warm fuzzies.

Some wicked cool clothes there.
Curious to know how comfortable those shoes are.
It seems ladies tend to choose style over comfort.

Great outfit, it looks fabulous.
I’m currently loving these big oversized floppy bows that people are wearing in their hair. So cute x

Great fashion, I wish some of the stylists I worked with could put an outfit together so well.
