Spending a week of December in Phoenix is now officially an annual tradition. Auntie Nubs and I went on a walk tonight through the desert at dusk.

Sally: Somehow, the hat just stays put with no anchoring of any kind. It’s been shockingly cold here the last few days; total hat weather.
It’s incredible how at the same time you blend in quite harmoniously into the surrounding desert, yet stand out from it with the stripes and pop of red. This pictures makes me wish I could smell the warm dusty air of the deserts and go sand boarding again. What a change that would be from the gloomy Finnish winter weather! (Although you say it’s cold there too…)
Phoenix looks amazingly beautiful!(is it warm there this time of year?)

Steph: I live in Phoenix. My toes are currently FREEZING! TO others it may seem warm, but it’s 43 degrees and a parka would be welcome in this house right now
