This is one of my favorite advertisements of all time. Italian fashion label Moschino succeeded in adding energy to this type and made it come to life. This ad is over ten years old now but still remains completely timeless.

Goodbyes are never easy. These photos were taken on the day I left Sarasota for the airport. I literally had an hour left and ran out to the beach for one last time. I spent the rest of the day in three airports and arrived back in Portland in the dark. I’m still adjusting to the cold, rain and piles of work that are surrounding me!

Type addicts rejoice! This weekend, I was browsing the House Industries website and came across these beautiful hand-printed posters. They were way too good to ignore so I ordered a handful in varying sizes for my office. Which are your favorites?
More outfit photos from the beach in Sarasota! I miss it so much already and am plotting a return visit for next year. Content-wise, I keep doing outfit posts because a lot of the other projects that I am currently working on are still in production. I have many amazing freelance jobs in the works and it’s so hard playing the waiting game. The one thing they forget to tell you in school is that the hardest part of design isn’t really creating the design itself; it’s waiting for it to come out so you can share it with everyone!
It’s a nice, sunny day here in Portland (finally!) but I’ll be spending it mostly inside catching up on work that piled up while I was away and then helping my brother stain our living room floors black (yes, I said black). We just got a cute little 60s mod couch recovered in white vinyl for our new offices as well and I can’t wait to show you once everything is completed.
As a sidenote, I mentioned in my previous post that I am so happy about continually collaborating with Forever 21 because I really do love their clothing. My entire outfit above (besides the footwear) was purchased at their stores.

Trendy and affordable fashion retailer Forever 21 will soon be joining the editorial world when it launches its first ever magazine on November 20th, just in time for the holidays!
To get yours, simply spend $40.00 or more at Forever 21 locations nationwide (or view the magazine online for free). According to the press release, “Each issue will include two to three features, a fashion gallery of looks with styling tips, coverage of trends available at Forever 21, street style, makeup and beauty tutorials, a lifestyle section including the latest in books / art / music, coverage of noteworthy Forever 21 collaborations, and an interview with a notable VIP.”
I am beyond excited and honored to be featured in the premier issue! Thank you to Forever 21 for their continued support. I’ve been a loyal fan for years so it’s been amazing to do work for them including the design of their blog, The Skinny earlier this year.
Readers, if you come across a copy of the magazine, let me know what you think!
