Heartschallenger: Have Treats, Will Travel

Last month, I headed over to the Lower East Side for the last ever Ruff Club which was mobbed by the coolest kids in town. At around 2 am, the sea of kids (mostly swathed in layers of black avant garde clothing) parted when a mysterious pink truck complete with hearts and unicorns on its side pulled up.

What was this vision of pink and why was it there? I walked up and peeked inside to see an assortment of toys, candy from around the world and a mind blowing selection of gourmet ice creams. Heaven on wheels.

Now her dream is a successful business venture with Heartschallenger visiting events and parties worldwide. And, New Yorkers with a sweet tooth, you’re now in luck because Heartschallenger trucks can be found daily in Soho and Nolita! To keep up on the current locations and events, follow Heartschallenger on Twitter.

Ooo! I love them! I stumbled across the website a year or two ago on myspace & was immediately smitten. I will make it there, someday :D

Such a cute idea. I imagine after dancing the night away, I’d want to stop by the van and pick up some of the sunglasses to pose in with friends for a photo opportunity! I want a pink panther ice cream!

Awesome! The hubcaps on the truck rule, but the tires look a little weak. I hope they make enough to pick up some decent white walls. Or even better, PINK ones!

LOVELY!

ps; the OCD part of my brain compels me to alert you to the typo in your jpg paragraph up there where you misspelled Heartschallenger as ‘Heatschallenger.’ Just thought you might like to know. xo

I would totally go down to Miami (20 mins from me), just to get a Bomb Pop from a truck!

Next time I’m in New York I am making it my mission to find those trucks. Although I doubt they’ll be there Nov/Dec when I’m there. I wish they had them here in Toronto.

What’s with the no chocolate or fudgsicle though?

I ADORE Lo & Heartschallenger. Had the opportunity to meet and hang with her at SXSW two years ago. What a blast!

Rose: There are tons of other ice creams including chocolate options on their site. What I posted is just a small sampling!

tricia of bitsandbobbins.com: Haha, good point!
