The Lust List: Fashion Must-Haves

Do you have a list of items from past seasons that are no longer available but still haunt you? I know I do. Here are a few standout pieces that still occasionally cross my mind and that I hope to own someday.

Jil Sander Boots: I haven’t been able to figure out which collection theses were from, but after discovering them last year, I’ve been hooked on finding a pair. The very Marilyn Manson-esque silhouette is balanced with crepe wedge soles that add an unexpected twist.

Rick Owens Coat: The Rick Owens Fall 2008 collection was one of my favorites of all time. It’s exactly how I expect people of the future to be dressing (or, at least me) and though I loved everything, this coat was my top pick.

Stella McCartney Boots: Yes, those boots. I don’t even care if they’re walkable. They’re art. All of the shoes from her Fall 2008 collection were amazing.

Les Chiffoniers Leggings: Sequins to me are a little bit Liberace, a little bit Michael Jackson and these leggings are so beyond awesome. A human disco ball, yes?

Gray Bags: I like my bags in really practical colors. Now that my black and white spectrums covered, I’m craving a newer take on the neutral and gray is where it’s at. Miu Miu (left) and Chloe (right) are my faves.

What’s on your lust list?
Is there something that you’re still dreaming of owning days, weeks, even years later?

I ADORE the Miu Miu bow satchels. Particularly the season 1 alluminio and mughetto.

I don’t really like the new seasons because of the distressed shine to them.

This ‘Lust List’ is aptly named :) I want all of it!

That Miu Miu bag on the left has me drooling with want most of all…delicious!

I was never into Chloe bags before, but seeing that gray saskia…those lucite handles did it for me!

Those leggings look worth purchasing (by someone who wants them a lot, I mean) if for no other reason than that they seem like they’d be an incredible pain to DIY.

All my favorite shoes have the heel/sole silhouette of the Jil Sander boots, though they tend to have strappy uppers. I like the Miu Miu bag, too!

You’re right that the Rick Owens jacket looks like It Came From The Future… but it’s nice because it doesn’t look costumey, like some “futuristic” clothes do. I don’t mind looking a bit costumey from time to time, but I constantly see it being criticized by fashion people. That’s not the only plus side for that jacket — it also just looks comfortable and wearable, esp if someone likes a lot of black and grey.

What a great list! I’ve been lusting after those Stella McCartney wedges for quite some time now. Just look at them… sigh. One day I will have a pair of my own!

Those Stella boots are HOTT with two T’s. On my list would be a big scarf from Yokoo on etsy and a sequined slouchy beret. I might just have to make one though because I am in the realms of starving student. The thing that would top my list though is a pair of Harley Corso Como boots.

Missy: I never noticed that the handles were made of lucite; I like it even more now!

M.E. I hope that Jil Sander silhouette sticks around…wedges are so much easier to walk in! And I agree on the non-costumey future look. It’s so easy to look like a movie extra wearing that stuff, but the Rick Owens clothing has a nice slouchy, comfortable look that’s much more approachable.

Staar: The Yokoo scarves are amazing! And a slouchy sequined beret…perfect for a glam fall look.

I lost my heart to this Versace coat the moment I saw it in the window and have longed for it ever since. ( I’d want it in black) – http://tiny.cc/kI11z
I even tried it on and if fit perfectly, but at the time I didn’t have the thousands of dollars to buy it. Now I doubt I’ll ever find it again.
