I’m currently sweet on the Steve Madden “Carlinn”,it’s exactly what I have been looking for in terms of an ankle boot.

When I tried them on at Halo, I couldn’t believe how comfortable they are.

i’m always looking for some boots. i am inclined to have thick calves, so wearing anything too tall is totally out of the question. i need some adventure boots though, ones that look like they can take on the apocalypse (moreso than the ones i have already)

I have been dreaming of these Chloe boots since I saw them on Jak and Jil a few weeks ago

Completely out of my price range, but, oh my… such a vibrant red, and I love the way the studs add a sparkle that’s ruby slipper-esque, but not too razzle-dazzle – perfectlty fitting with the chunkiness of the heel. Sort of tough and dainty at the same time.

Entirely off topic, but I think you look a little like Vickie from Reality Bites. Not completely, but pretty similar. Has anyone ever said that to you?

Auntie Nubs: Someday we will both own F+B boots. Until then, we can lust after them together!

Hannah: I would kill for those boots. Stunning.

Fi: I’m not sure who that is and that’s a first!

While I am not particularly interested in wearing heels for risk of breaking my ankles, I am very interested in your typeface choice. Is that bickham script I see?

As someone who finally swallowed hard and shelled out for a pair of Fiorentini + Baker boots (these:http://www.pedshoes.com/fiorentini_and_baker/fiorentini_and_baker.asp?productLineID=1&vendorID=29&productID=482&colorID=1168), I can honestly say they were worth every hard-earned penny. They are so exquisitely made! Every time I wear them, people stop to tell me how much they like them. So, although I know it takes a leap of faith, I say, if you can afford it, go ahead and get a pair of F&B boots. Quality is everything! (Plus, I’ve found the people at Ped Shoes to be so nice and responsive.)

This post has totally been my brain lately. I don’t know why, but I’ve just gotten obsessed with shoes lately. Finding the perfect shoe, etc. I tend to dress fairly boring at the moment so i’ve been looking for shoes to spice up what i’m wearing.

& a bit off-topic: I’m coming down to Portland next thursday for a week to visit my friend K and would love some recommendations for places to shop / eat / sight-see / thrift / etc. :D

I am drooling over shoe number 9: Giuseppe Zanotti Gladiator Ankle Boot as I am leaving this comment. My most recent obsession and possession is a pair of Balmain inspired rhinestone studded heels that was designed by Giuseppe Zanotti for Balmain. See my blog entry below:

PS Nubby: What do you think of these Balmains?
