Flashback: Heat Of Summer, 2007
Heat of Summer was a quick collage series that I did on hardboard during the summer of 2007. In a way, it was a practice run before committing fully to Modern Baroque.

After the whirlwind that was three solo shows last year, I took six months off but have finally felt the urge to dive back into fine art again. I’m starting a new series next month that will perfectly merge fine art and graphic design more-so than my past work has. Stay tuned.

I like these a lot-especially the yellow. The negative space works really well too, I always feel the need to fill the space so it’s nice to see.

I’ve never been drawn to hardboard at all before, but the shade and subtle graininess of it work really well with these pieces! Love them!

Many artists would be tempted to paint over the bare board, but I adore its raw effect with the pure yellow/black/white colour scheme of the cutouts. Love it! <3

You really have a great eye for composition & proportion. Personally I find collage one of the most difficult mediums.
