Yes, dreams do come true. Yes, that necklace does say Helvetica. And, you can get your very own right here courtesy of Star.

The thrifting gods were very, very good to me this week. Besides scoring the amazing Galliano Gazette scarf, I found these Sigerson Morrison Rain or Shine rubber flats in my size for a few dollars!

My weekend was spent at Portland’s indie comics fest, Stumptown. Star and I shared a very color-coordinated booth and spent the entire time catching up. Even though she lives in San Francisco, we always manage to be in the same city at least once a year, whether that be Portland, New York or LA.

We had quite the spread consisting of jewelry, shirts, posters, art prints, postcards, stickers and more.

My favorite thing at Stumptown wasn’t comics related at all. It was the Wordstock booth, featuring tons of red and white Helvetica covered merchandise. The pencils were so cool; I also got a white one that says Shut up and write. A perfect match for my beloved Helvetica Moleskine!

While taking a leisurely stroll through my neighborhood earlier in the week, I spotted the best bumper sticker of all time.

Lee thinks it’s weird that I like this mug. But, I think the typography is cool in a retro 70s sort of way. What do you think? Am I creepy for using a mug emblazoned with Grandpa?
