On Tuesday, I found myself in the midst of a photo shoot with my brother in an amazing mid-century modern home tucked into the hills of Portland.

I instantly fell in love with the floor-to-ceiling glass windows and beautiful view.

My bulletin board also got some new layers of inspiration. Visions of color!

The Nubby household™ gained a new, slightly bizarre addition: a massive green apple. I’m thinking that it should be used as a cookie jar. Any suggestions?

I still think that this is the best poster that I’ve ever seen. Those Nemo boys have impeccable taste! Haha.

This is what I’m greeted with every morning when I enter my living room. He’s such a beauty.

How massive is that apple? Need something to compare it to for a sense of scale.

ooh i have a big green apple just the same (and a big red one, and two small ones of the same design too! what can i say? i have an apple fetish) we use it to store my sons little toys in, its much nicer than having a regular box in the lounge. The other apples i have i use to store cables/USBs/chargers. Kind of a boring use, but much more discreet than having a bunch of cables everywhere! Hope your apple finds a good use :)

Eep! I love your red bow-belt!

Taxidermy’d deer will always hold a special place in my heart. We’ve got six (yes, SIX) in my stairwell, and they all start straight into my bedroom…

Danielle: Pretty big, like the size of a child’s head!

Bombchell in Atlanta: Hey, at least there are a lot of ‘party’ moments included…

pilgrim: Thanks for the suggestion!

Alice: Six deer?!! I envy you! That is truly amazing.

You can always take the top off the apple and use it for a hat or bike helmet!

Love the apple – you could use it as a very fancy (and retro 70′s) ice bucket!!
