The Typofiles #10

♥ It’s never easy pulling this much content into a page layout that still works. The more pieces of information you receive, the harder it becomes to put together the puzzle. Yet, Elle manages to dazzlingly combine a CMYK palette with varied typography and images. View The Typofiles set on Flickr here.

Hey Nubby,
This question is a bit elaborate, but I thought this would be the proper place for it.
I would like to explore typography more, and eventually have some work put on postcards/posters. Would Photoshop or Illustrator be a better investment for this?

Thanks in advance! ^^

r: Definitely build out your type in AI since it’ll be scaleable. Then, color correct your image (if it’s a photo) in PS and go from there. You can drag your text from AI into PS and place it as a smart object or place your PS image into Illustrator to place the text. There are a number of different ways to do this!
