What I Wore: 2.21.09

After mentioning German restaurants and lederhosen yesterday, I was inspired to pull out my Bavarian best! I am a huge fan of lederhosen because I think that they’re much more stylish than regular shorts (and much warmer)! I know that they’re traditionally worn by boys and men, but why should they have all the fun?!
What I Wore:
Vintage lederhosen, gift from Dad
Sweater, Old Navy
Scarf, F21
Purse, Miu Miu
Wedges, Dries Van Noten

I want your purse so bad that it burns. Where on this great green earth did you get it?

Oh how I love a gray ensemble!
And I would kill for those Dries shoes.

To wear high heels to the park is a phenomenally sexy look and I love those wedges, as well as the scarf and the socks. Do you think over time you might take your heel heights even higher? Not that I’m complaining, believe me.

bianca: It’s on! Zum Schneider’s was so much fun that last time we went!
Jamie: You can sometimes still find them on Ebay…but this version is pretty hard to come by because it’s from Fall 07 or so and they’ve changed it up since then.
sabine: Would it be super strange to see a girl in lederhosen over in Germany?
Staar: It’s still pretty cold here (40s or 50s) hence the big sweater, socks and scarf. But, I sooo wanted to wear ledehosen so it was worth freezing a little!
zana: I’m so excited that you commented. Haha, I’m such a fangirl…I adore your style + blog!!!

Ahhh, I love the dries. I purchased their bastardized H&M knock-off for $40 and I can’t begin to explain to you how uncomfortable they are.
I wore them yesterday during a surprise blizzard and almost broke my ankle TWICE. Oiii, I bet those feel like love….

i used our aesthetic to re-do my room and its nice.
your outfit seems more “organic” and elf-like than usual. i’m lovin it.

not the way you wear them. if somebody talks about lederhosen i think about something like this: http://www.humanlanguages.com/germanenglish/lederhol.jpg
and if anybody in germany who is not living in bavaria sees this guy he goes argh!
but that looks quite different to your outfit

the french: I was actually trying to hunt down the H&M version as a backup pair but maybe I should hold off. The Dries are amazingly sturdy and even resoleable! Worth every penny.
Sabine: Hahaha! I’m not so keen on pudgy lederhosen-clad men either.
Sal: Thanks!
verhext: OMG, I have died and gone to heaven. Thanks SO MUCH for sharing…this is absolutely amaaaazing!
Moni: Yep!
