What I Wore: 1.11.09

I’m finally getting to wear my Chloes again…I got them last September for my 27th birthday, but they had nice leather soles that I was afraid of destroying. Thanks to Nob Hill Shoe Repair, they now have Vibram soles and are pretty much indestructible!

What I wore:
Jacket, Urban Outfitters
Scarf and belt, F21
Jeans, Kill City
Wedges, Chloe
Purse, Miu Miu
P.S. It feels like there’s been a bombardment of outfit posts here lately, when in reality, I’ve been working on many new design projects behind the scenes. I should have some new things to share next week. Thanks for hanging in here through my sartorial explorations!

Did they add the Vibram over the existing sole and heel, or totally replace it? Either way, they look great!

I’ve actually been really liking the large number of outfit posts!!!

Auntie Nubs: Thet put it right over the leather sole. The job they did is amazing. And the shoes are actually more comfortable now!
Claire: Ah, that makes me feel better! Sometimes I am working on client-related projects and can’t share all the cool stuff I’d like to.

I love this outfit!
I also own that coat – only in the gunmetal color.

That outfit looks great. You look really great in green.
I should get some of my shoes resoled too. I’m too afraid to wear my new Vivienne Westwoods out in rough condition because they have a leather sole, but I didn’t think of getting a rubber sole for them.
BTW, I like the outfit posts and I’m sure my fellow readers would concur!

Oh, to have access to such a skilled cobbler …

I adore that jacket! I’ve been contemplating getting an authentic military jacket at the local vintage store for a while. Still not sure about it, though…

Those jeans are so frigging fantastic! Great outfit Nubs

Hanna: I had no idea that they produced another color. Show me! I found mine on the sale rack for $12.00….
Amelia Arsenic: Yes, take them to a cobbler and request some Vibram! It wears like three times longer and adds a bit of cushion, too. Those high end shoes with the leather soles are beautiful, but not really practical for tons of walking!

As soon as I have a picture I will send it your way! I love it.. only I think I payed full price for it, I don’t remember. That was so long ago! I had actually forgotten that I had it for a few years.
I love that you added the soles to those shoes! Makes them more unique! My sister has shoes fixed up like that all the time.

Add me to the loving-outfit-posts tally.
Completely unrelated, but I found a picture of Michael Jackson babushka dolls and thought of you…haha, is that wrong?!

You rock Nub-MJ style so well hehe.

Haha! See that jacket you are wearing there?
My boyfriend ordered one exactly the same online, on the website it was pictured by itself – and not on a model.
So anyways, he bought it because he liked the style and the fact it had a “B” on the sleeve [my name being "Bex"]…
Needless to say, when it arrived, the female cut of the jacket was revealed and looked somewhat ridiculous on his 6’7″ frame.
Such a shame! It’s such a nice jacket!
You look really good in it =)

I love the shoes! And the fact that you got new soles put on, is encouraging me to take a pair of my frye boots I have worn to death in to be re-soled. I was unsure about it, so I was just going to drop another $300+ dollars for a new pair, but maybe that is just silly…

Hanna: By the time I found my jacket, there were no other color, but yours sounds awesome. Probably more sleek, too!
Lauren: Those are totally amazing.
Bex: That is way funny!!
Amanda: You’d probably save about $250.00 if you got them resoled instead!
