Laser-Etched Presentation Box

A few months ago, I worked on a type layout that was later laser-etched into a wood presentation box for a Nemo client. It’s still one of my favorite jobs to date. I love the simplicity, the crisp lines and the way the letters look like they’re from an old printing press.

That looks great! It reminds me of a grown up version of those wooden letter blocks

It’s truly fantastic. Just out of curiosity, why all the a’s and e’s?

I think I have said to you before that I’m not a fan of wood, but once again, you have made it more than palatable!
I LOVE THIS!
I think it’s one of my favorite things you have shared too [design-wise].
Well done =)

It’s very cool. Was it for American Eagle?

Kayla: Yeah, you have a point! Wouldn’t it be cool if those blocks used all sorts of random, cool typefaces?
Sal: They represent the client’s name!
Bex: Thank you!

Haha, yeah. As soon as I hit submit, that occurred to me.

WOW that’s amazing. Typefaces and textures – two of the best things ever! I love the old typesetting box style.
