This is my bag. I would like a giant leather bag like yours when it won’t be thrown around and abused in school.
It carries my school work, my lipglosses, white H&M wallet, moleskine, whatever jewlery broke in the past week (when you’re just learning how to make closures on necklaces, they tend to break a lot), cellphone and 100 pens I will lose before christmas break.

01. A black leather quilted bag by Trent Nathan which desperately needs to be replaced.
02. I don’t know! I thought an amethyst Balenciaga city with giant silver hardware would be me BUT IT AIN’T!
03. In America, my Helio Ocean (phone). In New Zealand? Cigarettes probably. Hahah.
God I love how colour coordinated you are. Honestly, every time I see a collection of your stuff I get major coordination envy.

I’ve been meaning to do this for a while! Usually in my bag there is my cath kidston purse, red moleskine (like yours, snap!), my pens, my cute little make up bag, my phone and my keys. Not much really. Oh and there is always a book in my bag!
[Reply]
That is a gorgeous bag! I love the chain straps.
I walk home from work and a big bag makes me lopsided and gives me backpain, so I carry a pink backpack with skulls on it.
Currently it holds a bright blue purse with a pink ribbon for a strap, cell phone, a cigarette case by Misery that carrys my cards, a couple of black with white polka dotted coin purses, a black pashmina, keys, lipglosses, mini bottle of moisturiser, ipod, nail files and pens.
The one thing I take everywhere is my eftpos/visa card.
[Reply]
I’ve also been meaning to do this type of post, I will perhaps have to do one tonight. In response to your questions:
1. A black leather rucksack for work as it’s easier to carry, and either a black Victoria’s Secret shoulder bag or a red replica Balenciaga Le Dix bag depending on what I’m wearing.
2. My dream bag is probably the real version of the replica, or perhaps a Mulberry Roxanne in black or red.
3. My Nokia e90 and red moleskine planner with which I organise my life, M.A.C. studiofix for shiny face emergencies and some form of reading material – usually a zine or a “light-hearted” book I can pick up and put down easily.

I love your bag! I have to know: where do you find your Miu Miu bags? Online?
My bag is pretty simple, but I always carry with me:
- red Nintendo DS
- Motorola Razr
- video iPod
- eggplant coin purse
- green H&M men’s wallet
- keys (with too many UK-related keychains)
Dream bag: I’m loving every Miu Miu bag I see recently, which is why I ask where you find yours.
One thing I couldn’t live without: my phone. That or my iPod; life is useless without music!
[Reply]
I’m using the same Moleskine!
Also in my bag: iPod
- 2 mobile phones, one ridiculously old, one pre-release (yay for a job that requires, provides and pays for this!)
- Lolita novel (nearly done reading it)
- teal leather purse from Accessorize
- carmex
- mini brush
- AVON pressed powder
- Cadburys Twirl
- approx 6 pens; various types, various colours
- flyer for a local all-girl-band clubnight (which I’ll definitely be going to!)
[Reply]
I carry either a White cross body bag, or a Mondani black back with antiqued hardware.
Inside:
- Hobo International Lauren Wallet in Wasabi
- LG RIZR phone in Rose, which I abhor
- Dayquil
- Moleskine unruled notebook
- Moleskine planner
- Report Lace flats
- Macbook charger
- Canon Digital Elph
- USB-to-camera-thing adapter for uploading photos
- Lots of keys
- Grey fleece gloves
- Camel Turkish Golds and a lighter
Anything else that’s in there doesn’t belong in there… Like receipts, drugs, samurai swords…
xoxo.

Nubby, I LOVE how your extremely well-developed aesthetic carries through in every aspect of your life
I carry a medium-sized black leather bag from Aldo that has long fringey bits & a big black suede-y rose on it.
In it I keep a much smaller tan leather purse that contains all my money, lipstick (MAC Russian Red, Revlon Love That Pink, CoverGirl Really Red, MAC Bombshell – & yes, they are all very different shades), lipbalm (Burt’s Bees, Blistex berry, something coconutty & something kiwi), pressed powder (MAC of course), cards, etc. Then there’s my camera (beloved Digital Rebel XTi), phone (Motorola KRZR), & my house key on a rhinestone K keychain.
My dream bag is definitely something by Marc Jacobs. I love the look of the Stam but personally I need a strap long enough that the bag can comfortably be on my shoulder for long amounts of time. & black leather! Always black leather.
[Reply]
Currently carrying one of many black tote bags. Favourite at the moment is my Rival Schools bag.
My dream bag is a battered red leather satchel with lots of inside pockets and buckles to close the front and a long strap I can wear across my body.
Other than the obvious essentials like phone, purse & keys. I always carry lipbalm. Several infact. I cant bear to have dry lips.
Doe Deere recently did a bag post and I took this picture for it. Evidently I carry around a lot of crap:

My purse: red aldo square leather carry all
Inside:
-Burts Bees mint lipchap (could not live without)
-altoid mints
-black samsung cell phone
-Chanel Precision compact
-mini packet of tissues
-black skinny moleskin
-pink comb
-lady speed stick in summer citrus
-oleg cassini black round sunglasses
-rimmel eyeshadow compact in grey silver and black
-Sansa Sandisk View mp3 player with white sony headphones
I usually cram a whole lot more crap like text books in there too but those are the basics.
My dream bag is the Prada Spring 2008 white leather Fairy bag. Although recently I heard that if the bag got when the illustrations would run which is so horrible but ya I still really want it.
Staar xox
ps as everyone else is saying your aesthetic is SOOOO amazing

I love posts about “what’s in your bag.” I think they are so revealing.
A while back, I did a post about mine too:
http://shoedaydreams.blogspot.com/2008/08/weight-of-world.html
I have:
- Dooney & Burke Alto Bag
- Phone 1 – Blackberry for work
- 60GB iPod – previous b-day gift
- Phone 2 – iPhone – last year’s b-day gift, in white leather case
- Kindle – this year’s b-day gift
- Estee Lauder pink heart compact
- Coach wallet – filled with cards but no cash
- Owl bag – business cards for work and blog, notebook, hair clip and hair band
- Moleskine journal – filled coupouns and to dos
- Flash Drive – what the heck is on that?
- Dooney Keychain – has house, work and car keys, plus my YMCA tag which I don’t even belong to anymore. But it helps me sort my keys.
- Multiple Lip products – Burt’s Bees Lip Balm L’Oreal lipgloss, Chanel lipstick
- Black bag – “lady” products, Stella travel perfume, Bvlgari White Tea towelettes, nail file, floss, blotting papers, travel flashlight and swiss army knife.
- Stickers and mini-business cards from MOO.com
The sad thing is that I also carry a laptop bag with my computer and files as well as another shopping bag filled with computer cords, my mouse, my lunch and, of course, my shoes for the day.
My ideal purse right now is this one. It is the perfect size. I don’t like bags that are very identifiable or have a lot of logos, pockets or hardware. I like bags that have a classic structured shape in a great color. I rotate between an orange birkin, a white birkin, a sky blue dooney and a croc dooney with bamboo handles. I don’t have a ton of bags just a few plus some smaller vintage bags and clutches.
I can’t live without my phones. Even when I don’t take a bag or have just a small one I have them both with me.
Luv
Poochie

hah, i have many big bags but none of them is something like any of yours. i adore miu miu.
as i’m not at home this moment (i’m trapped because of snow in my father’s house, but hey, we have wifi so no worries) and so my handbag has way too much stuff i don’t need every day at school (like tooth brush and pijama, hah). but usually these are the must-bes in my bag:
-school stuff (books and stuff like that)
-my mobile phone (a very old samsung)
-my mp3 (a very old one, but as it hasn’t broke down i don’t have the urge to buy a new one)
-my planner. i’m completely freaked out if i sometimes don’t have it with me
-keys for 3 apartments (home, home and sister’s home), my bicycle, my “office” at school and other keys. lots of them!
-make up and stuff
-earrings that i have taken of some time and put into my bag and then forgot them
-tobacccco
so actually not anything unusual or impressive, don’t have any pictures either. sorry, maybe when i get in town i’ll make some and post.

Currently, I don’t have a cute little handbag, I’m a student, I usually have a backpack.
A light day looks like this.
But my essentials are:
- Burt’s Bees lip balm
- Red stapler (staplers never seem to work for me on campus)
- My supercool pencil case with the flames on it
- My graphing calculator
- My Palm Pilot
- My headphones
I’m just a huge dork, basically.

Of course, on off days I tend to carry something stylish like this.

I have that marc jacobs heart mirror! Love it.

Elizabeth Ilia: When you’re in school, you have so much more to lug around! There’s no point in having anything too fancy. Back in high school, I never had a purse, but a big tote or messenger bag…and since it was the late 90s, I carried my makeup and wallet in a sticker-covered lunch box!
Gala: We need to find you a dream purse ASAP when you get back to America. Start researching! Hee.
Ms Constantine: Ah, heavy bags. My big white Miu Miu holds way more than this new black one, which is both good and bad. It can get soooo heavy! You’re smart to carry something more balanced and practical.
Meg: Ebay. I have a few other Miu Miu bags, so I’m well-versed in what’s authentic! But I wouldn’t advice doing so unless you’ve done a ton of research in purse forums, etc.
Miss Elle: HAHA, samurai swords!
Kate Sloan: The Stam is SO dreamy! Definitely a timeless style….
Staar: Wow, I hadn’t heard that about the Prada bag! The illustrations are what make it so amazing and runny illustrations = such a downer.

I have a toki doki bag and as much as I love it, the pattern is sometimes too crazy with what I’m wearing.
Any suggestions for a more simple bag that is still stylish and can fit all of these things into it?

Maren: Looks great, thanks for sharing / linking me!
pinkpillsanity: When I was a student, I didn’t have anything fancy either, usually just a fun basic tote like you have. There’s way too much to carry in school to have a cute little purse!

and sometimes Barney’s CO-OP has some fun stuff:

Gem Wilder: The Vitello Lux is still my #1 favorite purse ever! I got the white one and it’s the nicest leather and holds everything. All the colors are so nice but I think my fave though is the gray from a year or two ago. Please share pix if you end up getting one!

1. Old beat up Nine West brown leather bag, but I love it and can’t part with it.

3. My must haves: phone, notebook and knitting/reading material. Current reading material “The Master and Margarita.” Very good read.

1.My favourite purse is a very simple purple one I bought in an independent designer’s shop. Is more like a tote, but with a zipper; and is decorated with a nice crazy patchwork. Plus, is big.
2. I don’t have a dream bag..I’m not a purse girl! But I would love to have a black one (can you believe I don’t have a black purse?)
3. My must have is simply my wallet. Is a big Primark plastic wallet, with multicolored polka dots, that my sister gave to me. I love it and it can hold a million things: I have my credit &debit cards, IDs, driver’s license, shop cards, lots of little souvenirs, condoms, cash and coins, etc, etc. Besides that, I just need my cellphone and my card keys. :p
God, I wish I had money for buying MAC cosmetics… :<

1. My purse is a black mimco (Australian brand) leather and canvas bag, with interwoven black leather through the chain. In it is:
-Estee Lauder compact
-My french books and a french/english dictionary (I’m studying french at the Sorbonne in Paris for a year!)
-Davidoff “Cool Water” perfume
-Vintage Ray Ban wayfarers (I think similar to something Sloane would have worn or perhaps Elaine Benis)

-Lots of pens, as I’m forever losing them
-A Paris mapbook
-Some gum or cigarettes
-Lucas’ Pawpaw Ointment
-Phone
-Keys
-iPod
-Black fingerless leather gloves
2. My dream purse.. definitely a Chanel 2.55 (although it would only fit my phone and some other essentials), or maybe a Chloe “Heloise” in chestnut.. Although until my last birthday my current bag was my dream one!
3. My must haves are definitely phone, cash (or cards) and lip balm. Anything else is a luxury!

I truly believe that we have reached the point where technology has become one with our lives, and I am fairly certain that we have passed the point of no return in our relationship with technology.
I don’t mean this in a bad way, of course! Societal concerns aside… I just hope that as technology further develops, the possibility of uploading our brains onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It’s a fantasy that I dream about almost every day.

Buying memory is such a time consuming process… You have to Google prices, sort through which ones are legit, visit a bunch of stores, compare prices, finally buy your memory, and then hope that the price doesn’t fall in the next two weeks or so.I’ve been done in by rapid price drops in the past… especially this one time when I bought a Micro SD for my R4 gaming flash card at what apparently was a bargain price, only to later see that it had dropped by five bucks in a week.(Posted using Nintendo DS running [url=http://kwstar88.insanejournal.com/397.html]R4i[/url] RPost)

Search engine rankings are never really all that surprising. Google is definitely first, Yahoo! is definitely second and Bing comes in third every month, without fail. Sometimes Yahoo! or Bing will rise or fall just a little bit and one will have the benefit of the other’s loss, however it’s never an enormous drop.
January’s rankings were also on the same lines. Google came first, Yahoo! came second and Microsoft came third, experiencing a small gain over the previous month. However, in a most unusual turn of events Microsoft gained at the expense of Google for the first time.
According to ComScore (via CNet), Google’s dominant share of the search market slipped by 0.3 percentage points to 65.4 percent of all searches conducted in the U.S. Because of this, Bing increased by 0.6 percentage points to 11.3 percent of all searches. Yahoo! lost another 0.3 percent, dropping to 17 percent of all searches.
Microsoft Bing has experienced almost consistent growth since it launched last May, rising from 8.4 percent in June to its current 11.3 percent. Bill Gates once told the press that the search engine created by microsoft is the best product till date created by Microsoft. Hope that turns out true. People are already fascinated by the interface provided by Bing. [url=http://technoages.com/articles/bing-is-eating-googles-share-of-search-engine-traffic/]Let us wait and see if Bing can sustain its growth[/url]
