What I Wore: 11.9.08

I was on my way to my usual spot to take outfit photos on Sunday, but it started raining too hard. As we drove around the city running errands, Lee had the brilliant idea to take my photos in a tree-filled cemetery (trees = dry!) on the side of a busy intersection.

What I wore:

Cotton pleated wrap blouse, Forever 21
Misc. modified black shirts
Necklace, Helpless Romantic
Pants, Wet Seal (haha)
Watch, Nixon Chalet
Wedges, Dries Van Noten

I also got my hair trimmed and perfectly styled with some beehive action, but after falling asleep on it, the volume disappeared! My hair is naturally straight and doesn’t hold any style at all…

P.S. I am happy to be back to wearing L’oreal British Red lipstick. It’s not too pink, not too heavy and not too bright. Perfect for day wear!

Ha! I love that lipstick! One of the best I think.
Also I love you white top, just as itself but also it’s perfectly teamed with your lovely white necklace! =)

That lipstick is gorgeous with your skin. And sometimes I wish my hair were naturally straight. When I sleep on it it just sticks up every which way.

That really is a great lipstick, and a really pretty top!

That lipstick totally suits you. I have the hardest time finding the right red lippie to me.

I really like your necklace. So much that I am debating getting one for me.

ugh i know totally what you mean about hair being straight. i can spend two hours with a curling iron on mine and ten minutes after finishing it’s straight again. i’ll even sleep with braids and buns in my hair and it still doesn’t do anything. people tell me that i’m lucky to have hair like that, but it’s so frustrating! and i’m sure you can understand.

Ooh la la! Tres fabulous, Nubby! :) And like Marisol, I’m also contemplating getting a nameplate necklace – the white is my favourite, but I couldn’t see where it said to get white with a silver chain – I could only see white with a gold plate?

Vixxie: Thanks, love!

nicole: No idea, I don’t plan on washing mine! With fragile stuff like that, I always layer it and lightly handwash it if need be.You can see that on one side, my pleats are already rumpled!

melissa: I sure do! Nothing ever lasts. People are like “Use a small comb! Use some extra hold hairspray!” I already do…to no avail.

x Miss Corrine x: Maybe drop them an email? The option was available when I ordered mine.

re: stubbornly straight hair – it holds styles much better if you don’t use conditioner. I used to be completely unable to do anything – it was too heavy for ponytails and buns, wouldn’t hold the waves from slept-in-braids, and curls created with heat held for approx. 2 hours, but then I stopped using conditioner. It’s lovely.

bardot: Yay, join the club! Heehee, there will be a group of us in white acrylic nameplate necklaces circling the globe!!!

Gala: Oh, stop that! Obviously I think you’re a looker also, otherwise I wouldn’t have committed myself to you in that little wedding ceremony!

I like these shots. The autumn leaves & grey building columns are a great backdrop.
