The Week in Pictures: 10.24.08

Welcome to the Week in Pictures! This is some of the inspiration I keep posted above my home desk. Underneath all that imagery is a magnetic board by Three By Three.

At Nemo, we just finished a project that’s stretched over the last few weeks. If you have the opportunity, I always advise working with people way more skilled and talented than you because you learn so much more that way!

Tuesday was a bittersweet day as I said goodbye to my Grandma, but my Grandma & Grandpa from my dad’s side showed up and kept us company. Can you believe that they’re 80?! It totally blows me away.

My brother and Grandpa showed up separately, both wearing black hats. Everyone calls my Grandpa ‘Sharky.’ He got the nickname back in the 80s on a plane ride to Reno!

My Mom was in town from Phoenix so we got to spend a ton of time together. I’m looking forward to seeing her again in December. Sounds much more inviting that freezing to death in Portland!

In other news, it’s been so nice walking down the Nemo hallway every morning with the walls covered in my art. I’ll be sad to see it go at the end of the month!

Are you also addicted to the Polaroid Image Maker? I can’t stop…these are some of my favorites so far!
How was your week?

you got me SO ADDICTED to the polaroid maker! especially since they’ve discontinued, or are discontinuing the polaroid altogether, it’s a nice way to keep them around. =D

Go Oregon!
And my boyfriend worked in the photo lab in Walgreens and they sold Polaroids and he said they just sold the technology to another company, so they probably will still be around, just maybe under a different name.
Hope that’s accurate.

Godo to hear you were surrounded by family when you were seeing your grandma off. Those sort of days can be difficult.
I have to say…your family is so stylish! Your grandpa just looks so pulled together. It’s easy tos ee where you got your sense of style from.

Winona: Those Oregon stickers are so brilliant; I’ve got big and small ones scattered all over. And, he’s a cutie if you’re not his big sister! After having my room next to him for 20+ years, I knew all of his dirty tricks!
dorkas: Ooh, Chicago. I shouldn’t even be complaining!
J: That would be fantastic news! I hope it’s true.
Brie and Vicki: Thank you!

Aww, your family is cute!
I need to get stuff out of my pile of papers and stuff and get an inspiration board going. I forget what I have when it’s tucked away!
I love that “Polaroid” of the Helvetica mug and bagel. I’ve got to get one of those mugs for myself!

Hey Nubby sorry to hear about your Grandma – with so many beautiful people to see her off I’m sure she was smiling!
Those headphones rock! Sadly I can’t download the polaroid thingy coz I only have a PC not a Mac but hopefully soon I will have a little Mac all of my own!
