Fellow Nemoites (Austin & Alex) made this video of my art show! Talented boys!
…
On October 3rd, my solo art show opened at Nemo Design in Portland, Oregon. This was markedly different from previous ones in that it showcased 30 pieces from all three of my series.

Thank you to everyone who trekked through the rain to the show! Friends, ex-bosses, coworkers, family members, gallery curators and college chums all made appearances. It totally blew me away! Words cannot describe the feeling of being surrounded by so many people I care about on such an important night!

Nemo is seriously the best place ever to work at, but even better, they let me showcase my personal work in their long, pristine, white-walled hallway.

I also had a big ol’ merch table and Lee Z was nice enough to sell the wares. Awww!

Kaebel of Sequential Art Gallery also stopped by. He is the man that is responsible for me showing art in the first place!

Friends from the high school and college years also showed up. Dani (above right) has been one of my closest sidekicks for 10+ years, along with Erin (bottom center).

An extra special thank you goes out to the Nemo photo studio employees who tended bar for 4+ hours. I love you! Also, thanks to all the Nemo-ites who purchased work, to Auntie Nubs for taking photos, Lee for the hours he spent hanging my work and printing shirts, my two gallery curators Kaebel and Cathie Joy for stopping by, Austin for the video editing, the cute Portland girls who came up and told me that they faithfully read my blog(!), Tyler for helping with the show setup, the mysterious Big Gay Wizard for suddenly appearing, to Dani for entertaining Lee & I on our way home, to Erin for putting up with my antics since 1995, and to Nemo for giving me a chance to show my work!
