The Week in Pictures: 9/12/08

I haven’t had a chance to do much of anything this week except enjoy little bits of the last wave of Summer, pack, work and prepare for my epic New York journey (I leave at midnight!)

Packing nubby-style is pretty easy. Start with a stack of dresses. Add in some black shirts, tunics and leggings, a few coats, cardigans and black jeans. Finish with a pile of accessories!

Turning 27 feels like a big deal to me. 26 has been monumental and I’ve accomplished a ton of goals that I set for myself in the last year. To celebrate, I gifted myself with a pair of ChloĆ© patent dark green futuristic elf wedges (is that an accurate description?) and they arrived this week! They are so solid that I could probably wear them every day for the next 20 years without a problem!

One issue, though: I have tiny feet coupled with narrow heels so they’re slipping a ton. But! I have a really cool modification idea in mind for my favorite shoe guy to whip when I’m in New York. I can’t wait!

I noticed this paperback book all about how to be the bestest, baddest pimp on one of the Nemo guy’s desks yesterday. It’s hillarious. One chapter is oddly titled “Grandma.” So good. I know you’re dying to read it!
Okay, it’s time for me to finish packing and ready myself for the birthday adventure that starts with Gala in Central Park tomorrow afternoon!
How was YOUR week?

Hi honey. Have a fabulous trip and a great party! I love the detailing on the Chloe’s, and I’m very partial to the little goat’s hoof heel. They’re awesome. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!(almost..)

Happy birthday, and love yoru present to yoruself – I’ve been eyeing those Chloes on Yoox for ages, but have hesitated because theyr’re a lot of money for soemthign that might not fit. So can I have a review? How small are your feet? I’m a narrow 35 – do you think these would fit? Thanks!

Where did you get the shoes in the top picture? They’re gorgeous!

Sarah: The wedges are by Dries Van Noten and I purchased them from yoox.com. At this point though, they’re nearly impossible to find!
