Miss Dot: No worries! I am constantly juggling a few different careers and I’d consider myself a graphic designer first and foremost…and my art is heavily design-based!

First off, Nubby I adore your art, your site, and your clothing. Secondly I came across you via. Gala Darling about a year ago but never really paid attention to your site till about two months ago, and since then have been amazed.
Your graphic collages are amazing. I was just wondering where you got the images used it the collages. Ive see alot of repeat in pictures which lead me to beleive they are photocopied, But where are they from? Are they from magazines? Made with photoshop and illustrator and printed out? Now an amazing person who allows for their picture to be used over and over in these collages? Idk… sorry for the random guesses.
Anywho, thankyou. And btw, this piece of work is amazing.

Shelby: All of the above! I use my own edited photos mixed with scraps of typography and fashion magazine images that I heavily modify / build out of.

I really dig these pieces, but out of curiosity, how do you DO that? The whole Ink on Resin? i have never seen that done before.
[Reply]
Heather: The collage and ink happen directly on the wood surface, then I seal it and pour resin over the top as the final step.
