Corso Como Dodie Wedges

This weekend while in Halo, I tried on the Dodie wedge by Corso Como and it was love at first site! I know that the height of 3.5 inches might suggest otherwise, but these are shockingly comfortable and stable! If you’re outside of Portland, the Dodie can be found on the Zappos website.

Corso Como has styles that reflect those of the top designers yet are a fraction of the price and are hand-assembled in eco-friendly factories in Brazil. The comfort of the shoes (even the sky-high ones) can be attributed to the extra layer of cushion consisting of foam and gel inserts underneath the liner and a flexible leather sole.

As you’ve probably noticed from the top photo compared with mine, the shoes can be tied in the front or back!

Poochie: Yep, they are in my posession; the bottom three photos were taken in my kitchen!

Kelly: They were under $200.00 and are amazingly well made! They’re fully lined in super soft leather and have nice leather soles.

P.S. If you’re thinking of getting them, the shoes fit true to size. I normally wear a 6.5 to 7 and the 6.5 fit absolutely perfectly.

Those look like shoes Batman would wear! If Batman wore high heels, I guess…

Oh Nubby they are stunning! I don’t think Zappos posts to Australia, from memory… so I may have to quench this sudden urge to own fabulous new shoes locally!

amazing. those shoes were MADE for you!!! i love them! and i love you in them!

» Nubby said: { Aug 13, 2008 - 08:08:52 }

Kristy: Yeah, I think Zappos is U.S. only…
But corso como seems like it would be a worldwide brand; maybe their website could direct you to an Australian retailer?

Also, I’ve heard that Piper Lime sells the brand.

it’s funny, I saw these somewhere when I was trolling around the internets and thought they looked very you!!

I just found a phone no. for local stockists on the Vogue Australia website. Score! I just adore the black/white ones. They remind me of a tuxedo!

Do these, or any other brand of shoes you wear make your feet sweat when you wear them without socks?

All of my flats that I wear do that… but then again they’re cheap shoes. I was considering saving up for a good pair/well known brand… but I wasn’t sure if this problem has anything to do with the construction of the shoe itself. =P

» Nubby said: { Sep 7, 2008 - 11:09:27 }

Vanessa: These corso comos are fully lined in leather. I think the sweating can be worse with cheaper shoes that use synthetics because they don’t allow your feet to breathe.

I always little tiny black no-show socks with shoes though so that the insides are protected.

Nubby,
Asche and I have been going back and forth about how much we love these. I blogged about them not knowing you had modeled them on your blog. I love that you tied them in the back. They go from cute to hot by turning the bow to the back. Thanks chica!

you’re wearing them wrong.

the tie is supposed to be in the front as a bow and not a knot.
