What I Wore: 6.21.08

 

  

I was going for a 60s stewardess look yesterday. I just got my hair trimmed and I always beg my hairdresser to give me a bouffant, but my hair is so stick straight that no amount of back combing and hairspray can keep the ‘hive up!

Saint-Tropez shirt, Urban Outfitters
Navy wool skirt, Banana Republic (my aunt’s friend was cleaning out her closet and gave this to me. It’s mid-90s era and wraps around and fastens with a little attached belt.)
Scarf (in hair), vintage
Tights, DKNY (They’re metallic silver with pinstripes!)
Heeled oxfords, ZINDA (Italy)
Purse, Miu Miu
Watch, Target

Wow, You look very nice! I think you’ve pulled the look off nicely. I’ve been into beehives recently but not fro mthe hairdresser! It’s a bit of a DIY job around my place! ;)

I have the same issue with straight hair, though I have dreads now, when I had normal hair it didn’t matter WHAT I did to it, it would never tease or go ‘poofy’. SO FRUSTRATING.
Someone suggested talcum powder to me, apparently it really works. Just put a bit in your roots [massage it in well so you can't see it] add hairspray & voila! It makes it stiffer.

Where abouts did you get that pill keyring? It is awesome! I know a few people who would LOVE something like that!
Have you seen the pill flashdrives you can get? So cute!
